The Government of Tamil Nadu established the Periyar University at Salem on 17th September 1997 as per the provisions of the Periyar University Act, 1997. The University covers the area comprising the districts of Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri. The University got the 12(B) and 2f status from the University Grants Commission and has been accredited by NAAC with B+ grade in 2007.

Tezpur University was established by an Act of Parliament in  1994.

National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), Mohali, is an autonomous R&D Institute under Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. The institute carries out cutting edge research at the interface of food, nutrition and agricultural biotechnology. NABI invites the applications from the eligible candidates for the selection of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for following research project.

Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine (PCIM) is an autonomous body established in 2010 with the approval of Govt, of India with an objective to develop Pharmacopoeial Standards for Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani drugs and to publish Ayurvedic, Unani and Siddha Pharmacopoeia of India for the promotion of Quality and Safety of ASU Drugs for the furtherance of provisions of Chapter- IV-Aof Drugs and CosmeticsAct-1940and Rules-1945 for Ayurvedic, Unani and Siddha drugs.

In October 1990 the B. V. Patel Education Trust in conjuncture with the Indian Pharmaceutical Association established B. V. Patel Pharmaceutical Education & Research Development (PERD) Centre, in the memory of late Mr. B. V. Patel, the first Drug Controller of Gujarat.
