CSIR National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR), a constituent establishment of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, is a premier Institute in Science Communication promoting science to diverse constituents at all levels using the most appropriate technologies. It provides formal linkages of communication among the scientific community in the form of research journals in different areas of S&T, information on plant, animal and mineral wealth of the country; disseminates S&T information to general public including school students through science magazines; harnesses IT applications in information management with particular reference to science communication and modernizing libraries; act as facilitator in furthering economic, social, industrial, scientific and commercial development by providing timely access to relevant and accurate information; Develops HR in science communication, library, documentation and information science, and S&T information management systems and services, IPR, herbarium techniques, etc. The Institute also offers wide range of information products and services ranging from production of S&T publications, translation & interpretation of Scientific Documents from foreign languages to English. Jiwaji University Gwalior came into existence on May 23, 1964, through M.P. Govt. Ordinance no. 15 of 1963. Late Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the then President of India, laid the foundation stone on 11th December 1964 at a sprawling campus of over 225 acres of land at Naulakha Parade ground. This was a generous contribution of Scindia family, in particular Kailashwasi Maharaja Shrimant Jiwaji Rao Scindia and late Rajmata Shrimati Vijayaraje Scindia. The institution was christened after the name of Kailashwasi Shrimant Jiwajirao Scindia as a standing memorial to his persona. The motto of the university is embedded in its logo Vidyaya Prapyate Tejah.

Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), a National Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India invites applications for 6 positions of JRF for 2015. The main mandate of IBSD is Conservation and Sustainable Utilization of Bioresources for the Socio-economic Development of the North East Region of India, which is a genetic treasure trove of plants, animals and microbial resources. This region falls among the World’s top 10 Biodiversity Hotspots. Jiwaji University was established as a teaching and affiliating University on 23rd May 1964, under the provision of M. P. Government Ordinance no. 15 of 1963. Dr. Sarwapalli Radhakrishanan, the then President of India, laid the foundation stone of the University Campus on 11th December 1964
Right from its inception, Jiwaji University started with a status of a residential and an affiliating University. The territorial jurisdiction of the affiliation extends to six districts of Gwalior and Chambal Division, viz., Gwalior, Morena, Bhind, Guna, Shivpuri and Datia. To begin with, the University had a total of 29 affiliated colleges. Those have steadily increased to more than 100 colleges. Till date of 26 Government and 7 non-Government colleges impart teaching up to postgraduate level. Some of the colleges have also developed into recognized research centers.
