Applications are invited from bonafide Indian citizens for six month, full time industrial training in bioengineering and bio manufacturing sectors. This programme offers biotechnology graduates a unique opportunity to gain hands- on exposure in industry setting, working on live projects under expert mentorship. It strengthen industry-academia linkages while enabling companies to identify and nurture future talent for their workforce requirements.
The program is implemented by DBT-HRD Project Management Unit at Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad on behalf of Department of Biotechnology.
ATTN : BIOTECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY
• Requisitions are invited from companies engaged in biomanufacturing, biologics, biosimilars, vaccines, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, agri-biotechnology, biomedical engineering, environmental biotechnology, genomics, proteomics, Contract research & manufacturing, food technology, and allied bio-services.
• Participating companies will provide structured six-month training, covering fermentation, purification, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and advanced bioprocess-engineering practices. In addition to DBT support, companies will pay trainees a stipend as per apprenticeship norms
ATTN : BIOTECHNOLOGY STUDENTS
Eligibility :
• B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc./M.Tech./M.VSc./MBA in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics from recognized Indian Universities.
• Minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grades
• Degree completed in academic year 2023-24, 2024-25, or 2025-26.
• Students enrolled under DBT PG Teaching Programme in Biotechnology are also eligible.
Selection : Candidates will be shortlisted through an All-India Computer Based Test conducted across multiple centers. Placement with trainer will be subject to availability and eligibility compliance.
Stipend & bench fee :
• DBT Share : Rs. 10,000/- per month (disbursed to students post assessment).
• Company share : Minimum Rs. 12,300/- per month (as per apprenticeship norms).
• Bench fee : Rs. 23,350/- per candidate, disbursed to companies to cover training expenses.
Certification : After completion of training, trainees will have to undergo an online ‘Assessment’ conducted by Sector Skill Council. Trainees who will qualify the Assessment will be awarded ‘Apprenticeship Certificate’ under National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) by Sector Skill Council.
