CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata, a premier scientific organization under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research poised to make an impact in understanding the chemistry of life, finally removing the veil of mystery around life. Today by its mandate, CSIR-IICB is engaged in research on diseases and certain biological problems of global interest.

Assam University came into existence through Assam (Central) University Act, 1989. It was established in 1994, since then  the University is steadily becoming  an excellent centre of learning. The campus, situated in Dargakona, about 20 kms from  Silchar, is set amid sprawling hillocks, a typical landscape in the North East. Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an institution of education, training and research established by the Govt. of India under the auspices of UNESCO to foster innovative research and education in a wide range of biotech-related sciences. RCB is situated in the NCR Biotech Science Cluster (NBSC) developed by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, on a 200-acre site located at the Faridabad-Gurgaon expressway within the NCR Delhi, along with other constituent institutions.

The National Institute of Research in Tribal Health (NIRTH), Jabalpur is one of the 30 health research institutes working under the aegis of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Sprawling in a lush-green 44 acre campus located in the state of Madhya Pradesh - the heart of India, ICMR-NIRTH is surrounded by thickly-forested tribal dominated areas, and is the only publicly funded organization dedicated to research on health of tribes of the country.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research originated as École de Médicine de Pondichérry established by the French Government in the year 1823.  This medical school was converted into Dhanvantari Medical College at the time of de facto transfer of Pondicherry to Government of India.This Medical College was later upgraded into Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).

CSIR - Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CSIR-CIMAP) is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The Institute conducts research in all frontline areas of Biological, Agricultural & Chemical Sciences. The institute invites eligible candidates for admission in CIMAP-JNU Ph.D. programme (2019-20) leading to award of Ph.D. degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, popularly known as CIMAP, is a frontier plant research laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Established originally as Central Indian Medicinal Plants Organisation (CIMPO) in 1959, CIMAP is steering multidisciplinary high quality research in biological and chemical sciences and extending technologies and services to the farmers and entrepreneurs of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) with its research headquarter at Lucknow and Research Centres at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar and Purara. CIMAP Research Centres are aptly situated in different agro-climatic zones of the country to facilitate multi-location field trials and research.

CSIR - IHBT is the only laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research in the State of Himachal Pradesh (H.P.), India. Institute has a focused research mandate on bioresources for catalysizing bioeconomy in a sustainable manner. The institute has:  state-of the art laboratories; remote sensing and mapping facilities; internationally recognised herbarium; animal house facility; pilot plants in nutraceuticals, essential oil and herbals; farms and polyhouses.
