Ramgarh Cantonment Board was established in the year 1941 and it is situated on the bank of River Damodar. Earlier it had 07 Wards. After demarcation in the year 2007 one more ward was added. The total area of Cantonment Board Ramgarh is 9312.38 acres comprising civil and military area. As per census 2011 the total population is 88781. Presently the total population might have crossed approx 01 lacs. In there are two Regimental Centers situated within i.e the Punjab Regimental Centre and the Sikh Regimental Centre.
