Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science (Chemistry, Environment Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology OR Graduate / Post Graduate in Degree in Professional Course Chemical Engineering, Environmental Technology, Biotechnology) selected through a process described through any one of National Eligibility Tests- CSIR –UGC NET including lectureship Assistant Professorship and GATE.
Candidates with M.Sc. Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Life Sciences or M.Tech. Biotechnology. Candidates having Hands on experience on basic molecular biology techniques, mutagenesis, cell culture will have added advantage.
This project will involve cloning, expression and purification of recombinant proteins and their biophysical characterization. Cell culture and animal model experiments. Synthesis and characterization of small molecules.
First class post-graduate degree M.Tech, M.E including the integrated PG degree in Biotechnology, Microbial Biotechnology, Genetic Engineering, Microbiology, Pharmacy or related disciplines. M.Sc. candidates without valid NET, GATE need not apply.
All the full-time Ph.D. students admitted into the Ph.D. program will receive fellowship up to a maximum of five years. The fellowship could be from the Institute or Sponsored Projects. Ph.D. students may also have their own fellowship if qualified through UGC/CSIR NET.

Certification in clinical research analysis is advantageous but not mandatory. Willingness to learn regulatory compliance is a must. Candidate with evidenced experience in clinical trial, relevant data analysis, data management and clinical statistical analyses will have additional weightage in selection.
