Opportunity for M.Pharm in Nanomedicine Research Laboratory at BITS Pilani

Post : Junior research fellow (non-medical) in the Nanomedicine Research Laboratory

Application for the position of one junior research fellow for the project "3D- Bioprinted contact lens embedding host-defense peptide S100A12 as precision medicine for bacterial keratitis" under the supervision of Prof. Swati Biswas.

Scope of work :
Synthesis and characterization of polymer based bioink for 3D bioprinting. Optimization of electrospinning/ bioprinting parameters and print AMP-loaded contact lenses. Execution of the in vitro studies using Human Corneal epithelial (HCE) cell lines. Performing the in vitro bacterial studies on planktonic and biofilms of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa. Determination of the in vivo therapeutic efficacy using rabbit models pre-infected with bacterial keratitis.

Essential Qualification :
Master's Degree in Pharmaceutics or Pharmaceutical Sciences (First-class) from a recognized university. The candidate will be eligible to apply for the Ph.D. position next semester. PhD candidates are encouraged to apply.

Desirable Qualification :
GATE / NET / GPAT qualification with prior experience working on a project related to developing nanoformulations, bacterial studies, and in vivo experiments. Strong interest in learning new techniques.

Fellowship : 37,000/- till the end of the project per month.
