The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) has been created as a centre of excellence for higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER, Raebareli at ITI campus, Raebareli under the mentor Institute of CSIR - Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow invites applications for eligible candidates for following positions on purely temporary basis on contract initially for a period of 1 year which can be extended further. The selected candidates shall have no claim for regularization against any regular post either in NIPER or CDRI.

CDRI is the seventh among the laboratories established by Government of India as a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi. The idea for establishment of a laboratory exclusively for drug research was put forward by Dr. B. Mukerji, the then Director, Biochemical Standardization Laboratory, Calcutta in his presidential address to the Physiology session of the Indian Science Congress held at Nagpur in 1945.

CDRI is currently working on many time bound projects of National importance. In order to execute these projects successfully, CDRI is looking for Project Staff in various disciplines as per requirement. Applications are invited from interested eligible candidates for inclusion in a Panel for possible engagement in different projects as Project Fellow/Project Research Associate at CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow. Applications can be submitted online throughout the year, which will be screened and eligible applications will be kept in a panel. Based on the specific requirements of the Project, candidates from the panel would be considered. The educational qualifications, age, monthly remuneration etc. are as indicated below:

CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, a premier Institute under Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is involved in the multidisciplinary R&D programs of both basic and applied nature. CSIR-CDRI is a pioneer biomedical research organization in India and has the infrastructure and expertise to develop a drug right from the concept stage to the commercialization.

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the project No: TCOF 9 “CDRI-830 Analogs Synthesis and Bioevaluation” for a period of six months and will be extended for another six months subject to review.

CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow has instituted CDRI Awards in the year 2004 to recognize scientific excellence in the country in the area of Drug Research and Development. There are two separate individual awards each for the area of Chemical Sciences and Life Sciences. These awards are given annually to the Indian Nationals of below 45 years who have carried out outstanding research work in the area having direct bearing on Drug Research and Development.
