    CDRI is currently working on many time bound projects of National importance. In order to execute these projects successfully, CDRI is looking for Project Staff in various disciplines as per requirement. Applications are invited from interested eligible candidates for inclusion in a Panel for possible engagement in different projects as Project Fellow/Project Research Associate at CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow.     CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow has instituted CDRI Awards in the year 2004 to recognize scientific excellence in the country in the area of Drug Research and Development. There are two separate individual awards each for the area of Chemical Sciences and Life Sciences. These awards are given annually to the Indian Nationals of below 45 years who have carried out outstanding research work in the area having direct bearing on Drug Research and Development.

Today, it has become a unique model for modernized drug research in India – having everything under one roof, from synthesis, screening, development studies, process up-scaling to clinical studies.     Researchers are invited to participate in a three days Brain-Storming meet entitled “Renewing the tradition of natural product research in India” - organized by CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow with select participation of past stalwarts and current researchers.

  • The Indian pharmaceutical sector would soon be showcasing new drugs for malaria, oste porosis and diabetes, Union Minister for Science and Technology Harsh Vardhan said. The candidate drugs are currently undergoing clinical trials, he said.
