    The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) is a growing phenomenon. Located in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, RGCB began in 1990 amongst humble surroundings as a small charitable society called the Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology (C-DEST). In 1991, recognizing its potential, the C-DEST was made a “Grant-in-Aid” institute of the Government of Kerala and renamed as Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology (RGC-DEST), becoming the first institute in the country to be named after Sri Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minster of India.

    Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Project Fellow in a KSCSTE funded metagenomics project entitled "Geospatial scale metagenomic profiling of mass-transit systems in Kerala" in the Laboratory of Dr. Shijulal Nelson-Sathi at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, BIC, KINFRA Campus, Kazhakkuttom, Thiruvananthapuram. Major focus of the project is to reconstruct the microbial communities present in the urban settings and understand its impact on spreading infectious disease.

    National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences is a multidisciplinary Institute for patient care and academic pursuit in the frontier area of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences. The Lunatic Asylum which came into being in the latter part of the 19th Century was renamed as Mental Hospital in 1925 by the erstwhile Government of Mysore. This hospital and All India Institute of Mental Health established in 1954 by Government of India were amalgamated on 27th December 1974, and thus was formed the autonomous National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS). The priority gradiant adopted at the Institute is service, manpower development and research.

  • Recruitment for Doping Control Officer (10 posts) at National Anti-Doping Agency

    The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and is the nodal agency for implementation of AntiDoping programme in the country within the policy frame work of the Government. The primary functions of this organisation are to implement the Anti-Doping rules, to coordinate dope testing program through the participating stakeholders and to promote anti-doping research and education to inculcate the value of dope free sports. In order to strengthen National Anti-Doping Program, it has been decided to have regional coordinators in four regions of the country namely North India, South India, Eastern India and Western India. The following cities have been identified for the purpose of establishing coordinating centres namely Patiala/Chandigarh, Bangalore, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
