The Department of Pharmaceutical Technology of Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in 2005. Pharmacy education in India has advanced to the global standards. The university grew out of the work of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the great Muslim reformer and statesman, who in the aftermath of the Indian War of Independence of 1857 felt that it was important for Muslims to gain education and become involved in the public life and government services in India.

The IEC College of Engineering and Technology was started under the aegis of the Vocational Educational Foundation (VEF) in the year1999. VEF itself came into existence in 1989, with the aim of providing relevant and reliable education in different parts of India, a nation in need of initiatives for educating its large population. To trace the history of Jadavpur University is to trace a part of India’s freedom movement, at least from the Swadeshi Movement onwards. It was 1905 -1906. Bengal stood divided. The times were feverish.
