The Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) although registered in April, 2001, under the Manipur Societies Registration Act, 1989, the regular activity of the Institute could be started only with the appointment of its first Director on 18th January, 2003

The monthly remuneration for the advertised positions is structured as follows, (As per OM No. SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10/07/2020) :
1 : Project Scientist-III
o Consolidated Pay: ₹78,000 + 10% HRA per month
2 : Project Scientist-II
o Consolidated Pay: ₹56,000 + 10% HRA per month
3 : Research Associate
o Consolidated Pay: ₹56,000 + 10% HRA per month
4 : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Associate-I
o Fellowship: ₹31,000 + 10% HRA per month
5 : Project Associate-II
o Stipend : ₹35,000 + 10% HRA per month
4 : Field Assistant/Field Worker/Lab Assistant
o Consolidated Pay: ₹20,000 + 10% HRA per month
5. Project Coordinator
o Consolidated Pay: ₹60,000 per month
Terms and Conditions of Appointment
• Nature of Post: The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project tenure.
• No Claim for Regularization: The selected candidates shall have no claim for regular appointment or absorption either in the institute or any of its branches.
• Performance Review : The performance of the selected staff will be assessed after the completion of six (6) months from their date of joining.
• Service Continuation: Based on this performance evaluation, the continuation or termination of their contract for the remaining project period will be decided.
• Age Relaxation: Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates as per Government of India norms (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC-NCL: 3 years, PwBD: 10 years, Women: 5 years).
• Certificate Verification: Candidates seeking age relaxation or reservation benefits must produce valid, authentic caste/category certificates issued by the competent authority during the verification process. Any discrepancy will lead to immediate disqualification.
Selection Process :
• Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection rounds.
• Mode of Selection: The selection process may be conducted via online or physical mode. Detailed schedules and modes will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates exclusively via email or phone call.
• TA/DA: No TA/DA (Travelling Allowance / Daily Allowance) will be paid to candidates for appearing in the selection rounds or interviews.
• Interim Correspondence: No interim queries or correspondence regarding the status of applications, shortlisting criteria, or interview dates will be entertained at any stage of the recruitment process.
