Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus, an insignia among the technical institutions in the region is the first Technical Campus in India to be named after Adi-Shri Shankaracharya and blessed by all present Jagadgurus. One of the College was commissioned in the year 1999 as Shri Shakaracharya College of Engineering and Technology (later converted along with other technical institutions and approved by AICTE into Technical Campus in the name and style of Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus) with the goal of providing education in Engineering and Management, a close interaction with the industry, and a strong emphasis on research.

The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) was established in 2009 along with other new Central Universities by an Act of Parliament (No 25, of 2009). This Academic Year The MET is going to start a new Pharmacy College in the name of MIT College of Pharmacy, which is approved by AICTE, PCI, New Delhi and Affiliated to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

Bharat institute of Technology-Pharmacy (BIT) was established in the year 1999 by the CHMR Educational Society with the noble aim of imparting quality Pharmacy education to students aspiring to become responsible pharmacists and to cater to the needs of pharmacy profession.
