Run by Maa Gangey Prasidhey Education Foundation, a Society registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 , Shree Dev Bhoomi Institute of Education, Science & Technology, Vill. Mazhon P.O Poundha, District Dehradun, started functioning from the Academic Session 2005-06. It is located on the bank of a stream, known as Neemi in Village Mazhon (Dehradun) at a Pin-Drop, silent, dust-free and noise free peaceful zone. Nature has gifted this site with hilly terrains and dense forest all around and a perenial water running stream which ads to its beauty and suitability for an ideal and best suited site for Educational Institutions. In other words we can say it as a mesmerizing spot in the heavens a bode. It is connected to the National Highway, Dehradun -Chakarata Road by a all weather metal-led Road and is at a distance of about 13 kms from Clock tower, Dehradun.

SBS College of Pharmacy has come a long way since its inception in 1986 and is a non-government Post Graduate (M.Pharm), Graduate / Degree (B. Pharm) and Diploma (D.Pharm) level technology and Pharmaceutical Research Institute. It is administered by Shaheed Bhagat Singh Educational Society. SBS College of Pharmacy, Patti was established as a diploma level professional institute in 1986 for undertaking diploma courses. Further it established its degree level programme in Pharmacy in 2001.

"The Pharmacy department of BITS Pilani is one of the few early schools of Pharmacy in India. Established in 1950, under the able leadership of (Late) Prof. M. L.

NPRP seeks to identify bioactive compounds with therapeutic and agronomic value. Ayurveda, India’s traditional medicine culture and knowledge inspires this program that investigates compounds from plants, fungi and many other living organisms. Our aim is to develop innovative pharmaceutical products and dietary supplements that may alleviate the public health burden caused by chronic diseases as well as infectious diseases particularly circumvention of drug resistance. In addition the program also has keen interest in developing natural products with agronomic importance such as bio-pesticides. NPRP will have the support from RGCB’s excellent infrastructure in genomics, cell & molecular biology, metabolomics, proteomics, chemoinformatics as well as the excellent pilot process plant located at BioNest, RGCB’s third campus at Kochi. NPRP will strive to develop validated analytical & separation technology, synthesis of analogs, activity guided fractionation, bioactivity assays using newer cellular assays & animal models, structural characterization of new bio-active compounds, down stream processing and formulation. The primary location of work will be at the RGCB’s Innovation Center in Thiruvananthapuram and BioNest Campus at Kochi.

Maharshi Dayanand University, ab initio established as Rohtak University, Rohtak, came into existence by an Act No. 25 of 1975 of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 1976 with the objective to promote inter-disciplinary higher education and research in the fields of environmental, ecological and life sciences. It was rechristened as Maharshi Dayanand University in 1977 after the name of a great visionary and social reformer, Maharshi Dayanand. It had a unitary and residential character in its nascent stage, but became an affiliating University in November 1978. The University secured the recognition of University Grants Commission – the higher education regulatory body of India - for central Govt. grants in Feb. 1983.

With advancement in medical sciences and concomitant growing demand for qualified and trained personnel in Pharmacy, need for well-qualified industry-ready bright Pharmacy graduates is being felt like never before, more so in West Bengal.
To meet the situation, the entrepreneurs associated with Dr. B. C. Roy Group of Colleges, with support from like-minded professionals founded Dr. B. C. Roy College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences in September, 2005 at the centre of Durgapur Steel City on aroun four acres of Govt. land procured from ADDA, Govt. of West Bengal.
