Pharmacology

Established under the aegis of the Guru Nanak Institutions in 2006, the College has been a nurturing ground for pharmaceutical professionals. SOP GNITC is approved   by the AICTE and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad with permanent affiliation. It is also approved by the UGC as an autonomous Institution .The Institute is further recognized u/s 2f & 12 B of UGC Act. The Institute offers a four year B. Pharm programe, six year Pharm D, and three year Pharm.D (PB) apart from two year M.Pharm programme in the branches of Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance and Pharmaceutical Management & Regulatory affair. The Institute is constantly seeking to upgrade the quality of its education is endeavoring to become a ‘Continuous Education Centre’, where new knowledge pertaining to the Pharma field is generated on a regular basis.

The Dr. Reddy's Institute of Life Sciences was conceived in the context of globalization, to foster research competence in India and to bridge the divide between academic research and the pharmaceutical & biotechnology industries.  The institute was incorporated as a non-profit entity under Section 25 of the Indian companies act, facilitating operational autonomy. Construction of the DRILS building comprising 44 labs and an administrative block and spanning ~130,000 sq.ft. in area, began in 2004 and was completed in January 2007.

Directorate of Health Services was bifurcated in the year 2004 from the Health & Family Welfare Department . It is functioning as a separate Directorate for more than 12 years. It is controlling rural health institutions i.e., Principal Medical Office, Kulikawn, Community Health Centres (CHCs), Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Sub-Centres (SCs) and Rural Hospital, Tlabung and all District Medical Offices. Also, Aizawl District has been functionally divided into Aizawl East and Aizawl West districts for health service delivery, each headed by a CMO.

This Institute was established in the year from 1963 in IMPCOPS, Chennai with a motive to study the phyto-chemical aspects of medicinal plants in an around the city. Later Central Council for Research in Indian Medicine and Homeopathy had taken over this Institute as grant in aid. In the year of 1979, this institute became a part of Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (formerly Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic and Siddha). This institute had diversified its activities to drug standardization besides phyto-chemical studies. This institute concentrates in formulating SOP and drug standardization of medicines belonging to Ayurveda and Siddha.

Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences established in the year 2008-09 under the aegis of Sri Sudarshan Ramanujacharula Educational Society is one of the premier pharmacy colleges imparting quality pharmaceutical education and training in India. Saraswati Institute of Pharmacy, is situated in Hingoli in Maharashtra state of India. Established in 2014, Hostel facility is not available for its students. Additional campus facilities such as Grounds are also there.

Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, a constituent of CSIR is a leading research Institute in the area of chemical sciences. The core strength of IICT lies in Organic Chemistry, and it continues to excel in this field for over six decades. The research efforts during these years have resulted in the development of several innovative processes for a variety of products necessary for human welfare such as drugs, agrochemicals, food, organic intermediates, adhesives etc. More than 150 technologies developed by IICT are now in commercial production.

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER) - Ahmedabad is an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of Parliament under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India.

The Institute has excellent facilities for advanced education and research in pharmaceutical sciences and is looking for Teaching & Non- teaching staff of high degree of knowledge and willing to contribute in building this institute as one of the best centres of excellence.
