The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was established as the Department of Chemical Technology on 1st October, 1933 by the University of Mumbai, through active support of industries and philanthropists. The Institute was most popularly known as UDCT, Mumbai. Research has been an integral part of ICT since its inception and it has created over 500 first generation entrepreneurs.

The Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University was established at Nanded by bi-furcating the Marathwada University, Aurangabad on 17th September 1994, the day on which in 1948 Hyderabad State was liberated from rule of the Nizam. Nanded is a district headquarters as well as a holy city situated on the banks of Godavari River in southeastern part of Maharashtra state.

IIT Bombay, set up by an Act of Parliament, was established in 1958, at Powai, a northern suburb of Mumbai. Today the Institute is recognised as one of the centres of academic excellence in the country. Over the years, there has been dynamic progress at IIT Bombay in all academic and research activities, and a parallel improvement in facilities and infrastructure, to keep it on par with the best institutions in the world. Siddhant College of Pharmacy [SCOP] was established in the year 2004 in pollution free campus at Sudumbare on Talegaon-Chakan Road at Pune. The College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), PCI New Delhi, recognized by Government of Maharashtra and is affiliated to University of Pune. As per the guidelines of above mentioned bodies, we offer undergraduate as well as post graduate courses in Pharmacy

National AIDS Research Institute [NARI] was established in October 1992 in Bhosari, Pune on a seven acre plot. Over last two decades the Institute has established itself as a premier Institute devoted to research on HIV infection and AIDS.

The Tata Memorial Hospital was initially commissioned by the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust on 28 February 1941 as a center with enduring value and a mission for concern for the Indian people. In 1952 the Indian Cancer Research Centre was established as a pioneer research institute for basic research - later called the Cancer Research Institute (CRI). In 1957 the Ministry of Health took over the Tata Memorial Hospital.
