Institute of Microbial Technology Hiring M.Pharm, MSc candidates

Established in 1984, the Institute of Microbial Technology is one among the chain of 37 national laboratories, 6 units and 39 outreach centres of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. Set-up to be a fore-runner in the niche domain of microbial biotechnology, the Institute in its initial years functioned from a start-up laboratory that provided a truly world-class R&D ambience in an area of over 10,000 sq. ft. to its researchers.

Project Titled : “Translational Neuroscience: Pharmacological validation of key biological pathways involved in the central nervous system disorders”

Essential Qualification : Masters/ Integrated Masters in Natural or Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences/ MVSc/ Animal Sciences.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University.
Desirable : Prior work experience in the area of biological sciences to perform microscopy (fixed cells and live-cell imagining), cloning, yeast-two hybrid screening, protein purification, cell culture is desirable.

Monthly Emoluments : (i) Rs.31,000/- +HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR- UGC/ ICAR/ ICMR NET incl. lectureship/ assistant professorship or GATE OR those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/ DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.
(ii) Rs.25,000/- +HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above

Upper Age limit (years):- 35 years
Relaxation in the age limit for the candidates belonging to the category of SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Women and the category of OBC shall be 05 years and 03 years respectively.
