Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata (IISER Kolkata) was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. IISER Kolkata is designed to reach the prestigious position in the global setting that IISc, IIMs and IITs presently enjoy. IISER Kolkata is an autonomous institution awarding its own degrees. The central theme of the IISER Kolkata is to integrate education with research so that undergraduate teaching as well as doctoral and postdoctoral research work could be carried out in symbiosis.

The Government of Haryana has established a Medical College and Hospital with all modern amenities in the heart of Karnal city in the name of Kalpana Chawla, famous astronaut. The Medical College and Hospital is spread over an area of more than 50 acres. With the establishment of this Medical College in Karnal, the hopes and aspirations of the people of the area will be met with the standards of health services going up and students benefiting with the advantage getting better educational avenues in a congenial environment.

The Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad (IITPKD) is established as an autonomous institute of national importance by the Government of India. It is currently located inside the scenic Ahalia Integrated Campus, Kozhipara, Palakkad, 678557. Considering that the IIT is in its infancy, good facilities are available in its present campus, and more are being set up/planned. Land for the permanent campus was made available by the Government of Kerala near the Sahya mountains, and construction activities have already started.

NCBS would like to have at least 7 YIPs at steady state, and is keen on making at least one new YIP appointment a year. Salary and benefits will be attractive. Accommodation, at nominal rent, will be provided.
