CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow is a constituent laboratory under Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi.  It is a unique R&D Institution in the country with state-of-the-art infrastructure for fundamental chemical and biomedical research driven new drug discovery and development. CSIR-IICT during its seventy year journey has made its mark as a dynamic, innovative and result oriented R&D organization.

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995.
