Ehtesham, Scientist ‘G’ and Director In-Charge, National Institute of Pathology. “Molecular epidemiological investigations based on NGS sequencing of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates from Tripura, Meghalaya and tea garden of Assam, NE region”

Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, popularly known as CIMAP, is a frontier plant research laboratory of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Established originally as Central Indian Medicinal Plants Organisation (CIMPO) in 1959, CIMAP is steering multidisciplinary high quality research in biological and chemical sciences and extending technologies and services to the farmers and entrepreneurs of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) with its research headquarter at Lucknow and Research Centres at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar and Purara.

Eligible and interested candidates may attend the Interview for engagement on purely temporary basis as Project Assistants under various projects tenable at CSIR-CIMAP Research Centre, Bengaluru

This Institute was established in the year from 1963 in IMPCOPS, Chennai with a motive to study the phyto-chemical aspects of medicinal plants in an around the city. Later Central Council for Research in Indian Medicine and Homeopathy had taken over this Institute as grant in aid. In the year of 1979, this institute became a part of Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (formerly Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic and Siddha). This institute had diversified its activities to drug standardization besides phyto-chemical studies. This institute concentrates in formulating SOP and drug standardization of medicines belonging to Ayurveda and Siddha.

Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute (CGCRI) originally proposed to be named as Central Glass & Silicate Research Institute is one of the first four laboratories decided to be set up under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, the other three being National Chemical Laboratory,Pune; National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi and Central Fuel Research Institute, Dhanbad. Even though it started functioning in a limited way in 1944, the Institute was formally inaugurated on August 26, 1950.

Govt. of Himachal Pradesh took up initiative in early seventies to set up a CSIR lab to make prudential use of the natural resources of the region. After several levels of discussions a formal request was made by then Chief Minister of HP to Vice President, CSIR in 1982 for initiating the matter, and giving final shape to the proposal. The dream of HP government finally came true in 1983 when the foundation stone of this National lab was laid as CSIR Complex Palampur by Prof. Nurul Hasan, former Vice President of CSIR, with then Chief Minister of HP chairing the function.

KMIO was accorded RCC statuson 1st Nov 1980 by Government of India and is a member of UICC and recognised by WHO. KMIO is State Government Autonomous Institute. The Indian Council of Medical Research has recognised this referral Institution as a research organization.

The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) was established in 2009 along with other new Central Universities by an Act of Parliament (No 25, of 2009). The University is now accredited with 'A' grade from NAAC. It is credited with highest per capita research funding. The university has a mission of providing wide range of instructional and research facilities across integrated and cross-disciplines, promote innovation in teaching, learning and research, and cross-pollinate new ideas, new technologies and new world-views. The university started in a three-room Camp Office provided by the state administration in March 2009. Making a modest but speedy start, the university accepted on rent, a dilapidated campus of 37 acres of an abandoned co-operative spinning mill on Mansa Road, Bathinda.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) invites application for position of Research Fellows to work in collaboration with National Institutes of Health (NIH)/CRDF sponsored research project in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal. Selected research fellows will work on development of TB Portal in Indian populations which is an initiation for International partnership for clinical informatics and advanced research in tuberculosis.
