Research Associate

National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi is an Autonomous Research Institution funded by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, to pursue research on various aspects of plant genomics. The Institute is also in the process of establishing a NIPGR Translational Centre at Biotech Science Cluster, NCR, Faridabad. NIPGR invites applications from Indian Citizens for filling up the vacant posts on Direct Recruitment basis, as detailed below. The posts are temporary but likely to continue.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Research Associate (RA) and one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the DBT Part-B Sub-project-1&2 entitled "Transcriptome and epigenome diversity analysis during seed development for discovery of molecular markers and gene regulatory mechanism in chickpea" of Seed Biology under the supervision of Dr. Mukesh Jain, Scientist, NIPGR.

CEPS established under the aegis of GGSIP University is engaged in research/teaching in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Pharmacology/Microbiology & Bioethics. CEPS is looking for meritorious young researchers for pursuing research in the area of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Detection, Isolation, Structural Elucidation & Biological Screening.

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur was established in the year 1960. The Parliament of India passed the ‘Institutes of Technology Act 1961’ declaring all the IITs as “Institutions of National Importance”. The Parliamentary Act has given absolute autonomy to the IITs. When the foundation stone of the IIT system was laid, it was perceived that taking help from the industrially advanced western countries might be lot more effective in achieving the status of a world class technical institute. Hence, IIT Kanpur had a massive collaboration with USA through a specially created programme- KIAP (Kanpur Indo American Programme).

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world. The National Research Centre on Plant Biotechnology (NRCPB), established in 1985 by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), is a premier institute engaged in research of national importance in the field of plant and agricultural biotechnology. Since its inception, NRCPB has progressed significantly focussing the efforts on major thrust areas such as genetic engineering for biotic resistance, exploitation of heterosis for enhancement of crop productivity, molecular breeding to unlock the genetic potential from diverse germplasm and integrate in cultivated crop varieties, various crop and microbe genome sequencing projects to the latest OMICS high throughput techniques which provide accessibility to engineer at several levels from genome to metabolome. The Centre kept pace with newer technologies through acquisition of technical skills and equipping with infrastructure to transform as state-of-the-art research centre.
