BRIC-National Agri-Food and Biomanufacturing Institute (BRIC-NABI) is an autonomous Institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. BRIC-NABI aims at catalysing the transformation of the Agri- food sector in India by being a nodal organization for knowledge generation and translational science leading to value-added products based on Agri-Food biotech innovations for improved household nutritional security. Since its inception in 2010, BRIC-NABI is involved in research activities for Bio-fortification, the development of designer crops for improved nutrition, providing sustainable and novel solutions for quality food and nutrition, and the development of evidence-based functional foods to counter malnutrition.
The food and nutritional Biotechnology division at BRIC-NABI requires the following research personnel purely on a temporary basis.
Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - One (One position)
Project Title : Dissecting wheat tissue-type specific iron homeostatic transcriptional responses mediated by basic helix loop helix protein” (GAP-86)
Principle Investigator : Dr. Ajay Kumar Pandey, BRIC-NABI
Duration : The initial appointment will be for a period of one year.
Essential Qualification : PhD in Life sciences/ Biotechnology/Botany or related areas with CSIR/NET/GATE/LS or related qualification for JRF as per the DST OM No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 for the JRF.
Emoluments: - Rs. 37,000/- per month plus HRA (As per DST OM No. DST/PCPM/Z- 06/2022 dated 26.06.2023).

Senior Research Fellow (One position)
Project Title : Development and Characterization of colored cereals (ICAR-CRP Biofortification) – (GAP-73)

Duration : Appointment will be co-terminus with the project.
Essential Qualification : 1. Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in professional course selected through a process described through any one of the following: -
2. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC-NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship), GATE and GPAT
3. The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
4. A minimum of two years of research experience as a Junior Research Fellow.
Desired Experience : Research experience in plant genetics, plant breeding, plant biochemistry, cereal crop improvement, or molecular and biochemical characterization of crop germplasm will be preferred.
Responsibilities : Selected candidate will work on genetics and breeding for colored wheat. Candidate will also be responsible to manage day to day activities for the successful execution of the project, designing of the experiments, data analysis, manuscript writing and progress report preparation. Emoluments: Rs. 42,000/- per month (plus HRA as per project. (GOI OM No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26/6/2023).

(Biotechnology/Nanotechnology) and NET / GATE / any other relevant/equivalent nature of national level test qualified (for JRF). Duration : Up to 11 June, 2029 or availability of the project funds. Essential Qualification: B.Sc. or 3 years diploma in Engineering & technology.
Desirable Experience : 1. Field and lab work. Job Responsibility: Extensive field and laboratory work including data scoring, extraction, etc.
Emoluments: - Rs.20,000/- fixed/month + 18% HRA. as per DST OM: SR/S9/Z-05?2019 dated August 21, 2019.
