Applications are invited for the position of one Project Research Scientist I in the Department of Biological Sciences at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, Hyderabad, for an ICMR-sponsored research project titled "A target-guided approach for design, synthesis, and screening of host-directed therapies for TB and associated metabolic disorders (PCOS) in women."

Duration of the project : 7 months
Fellowship Amount : Project Research Scientist I: ₹ 58,800 PM + 27% HRA (as applicable)
Accommodation : Hostel accommodation for the RA is subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of the candidate's joining.
Qualification : We seek a highly motivated and recently graduated PhD candidate to join our interdisciplinary research team as a Research Associate. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Zoology or Pharmacy/Pharmacology and a deep understanding of molecular biology and biochemistry.
Eligibility Criteria : PhD in Zoology, Pharmacy, Pharmacology, or Reproductive Biology from a recognized institution. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in pharmacological evaluation, animal models, and preclinical drug testing.
Preferred Skills & Experience : Hands-on experience in in vitro techniques including mammalian cell culture, extensive experience in in vivo rodent handling, animal disease models, drug administration, and preclinical drug efficacy/toxicity testing. Experience in tissue collection and histopathological analysis, molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
Desirable Qualities : Excellent documentation and communication skills. Prior publications or contributions to peer-reviewed research. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
