As a tribute to the founder Dr. Sam Higginbottom, who through his sincere services, hard work and dedication has contributed greatly towards enhancing the agriculture production in our Country, a proposal was submitted to Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi to re-christened Allahabad Agricultural Institute-Deemed University as “Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences”.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) has been established under THE JAMMU AND KASHMIR SHRI MATA VAISHNO DEVI UNIVERSITY ACT, 1999. an Act of the J&K State Legislature (ACT No. XII of 1999 dated 12th May 1999) as an autonomous,  highly Technical & fully Residential University.

A walk-in interview will be held on 01-08-2013, Thursday at 11.00 AM in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology, College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, Guwahati-22 to fill up one (1) post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for an "Biotech intervention on selected medicinal plants (MAP) of NER for their effective utilisation", Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, CVSc, AAU, Khanapara.

Applications are invited on plain paper along with full Bio-Data, Mark sheets, certificates, testimonials and a recent passport size photograph for the following posts under the DBT research project entitled “Development of seaweeds biorefinery and pilot demonstration of bioethanol production” for a period of three years or till the tenure of the project.
