  • Career in Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, JIPMER | B.Sc, M.Sc

    Applications are invited for the following posts for the project titled “Impact of Pregnancy on Tuberculosis” funded by U.S National Institutes of Health (NIH) by the Department of Preventive & Social Medicine, JIPMER, Puducherry.

    Details of the posts are given in Annexure 1. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview in the Dept. of Preventive and Social Medicine, IV Floor, Administrative Block, JIPMER, Puducherry at a date that will be communicated to the candidates.     JIPMER imparts Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG) and Super speciality Medical Training through a working hospital (JIPMER Hospital) with a bed strength of 1500 and a Nursing College.  M.B.B.S., B.Sc. M.Sc., M.D., M.S., Degree Courses are offered in 32 various disciplines. Super specialitydepartments of Cardiology,Neurology,  CardiothoracicSurgery,Neurosurgery,Urology&  Neonatology,  Clinical Immunology,  Clinical  Pharmacology,  Clinical  Haematology  and  Surgical  Gastroenterology  also  offer D.M./M.Ch. Courses.  Fellowship courses are available in four disciplines.   Full-time Ph.D. Programmes are available in six disciplines. 
    JIPMER aims to provide high quality learning environment for those undertaking taught and research degrees awarded by JIPMER in the Faculty of Medicine. Teaching and Training for M.B.B.S. Degree at JIPMER  is  focused  on  health  improvement, disease  prevention  and  cure  as  well  as  fundamental understanding. All medical graduates must meet the core outcomes set by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

    CDRI is currently working on many time bound projects of National importance. In order to execute these projects successfully, CDRI is looking for Project Staff in various disciplines as per requirement.   • Wanted Project fellow at Malabar Cancer Centre

    Malabar Cancer Centre, Thalassery (MCC) is an autonomous institution under Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Kerala, started with an aim to establish a comprehensive cancer centre, providing the much-required oncology care to the population of Northern region of Kerala and neighbouring parts of Karnataka and Tamilnadu states. The main objective of the centre is not only to provide comprehensive cancer care but also to develop as a Research and Training Centre of international standards. A society named Malabar Cancer Centre Society was registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with the above aims and clinical work in MCC started from March 2001 onwards. At present MCC has around 110 in-patient bed strength which is expected to be increased to 220 in near future.

  • Walk in interview for M.Tech / M.Sc / M.Pharm as Research Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology

    The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was established as the Department of Chemical Technology on 1st October, 1933 by the University of Mumbai, through active support of industries and philanthropists. The Institute was most popularly known as UDCT, Mumbai. Research has been an integral part of ICT since its inception and it has created over 500 first generation entrepreneurs. The UDCT grew significantly in stature and was granted autonomy under UGC regulations by the University of Mumbai and further converted in to an Institute on 26th January, 2002. Under the World Bank TEQIP programme, the Maharashtra government granted it full autonomy in June 2004. Due to the recommendations of the Government of Maharashtra and University of Mumbai, the ICT was granted Deemed University Status by the MHRD on 12th September, 2008, with all provisions of the UGC for funding and support as the state owned deemed university.

  • Vacancy for the post of Junior research fellow under an ICMR Project in Dept. of Cytology

    The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab. After the reorganization of the state, the administrative control of the institute passed on to the Union Territory of Chandigarh in November 1966.  The Institute became an autonomous body under the Act of Parliament in 1967 functioning under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, with the following mandate.
