The Himachal Institute of Pharmacy, Paonta Sahib, in association with the Himachal Pradesh State APTI Branch, successfully organized a two-day International Conference on the theme “Pharmacy Beyond Borders: Translating Innovation into Impact for Global Health” on February 27–28, 2026. The event witnessed enthusiastic national and international participation, with more than 1,200 registered delegates representing 22 states and five countries.
The conference brought together academicians, researchers, industry experts, and students from across India and abroad, providing a dynamic platform to exchange knowledge and ideas. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on emerging trends, innovative research, and future directions in pharmaceutical sciences, highlighting the growing role of pharmacy in addressing global health challenges.
The conference was conducted under the able guidance of Director Dr. Preeti Gupta, Chairman Er. Yatharth Gupta, Principal Dr. Ramandeep Singh, Organising Secretary Dr. Shilpi Arora, and Scientific Committee Member Dr. Satinder Kakar. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Shri Gopal Krishna Sharma, President of the Himachal Pradesh State Pharmacy Council, who attended as the Chief Guest and formally released the conference abstract book and souvenir in the presence of other distinguished dignitaries.
The scientific sessions featured several eminent national and international speakers who shared their expertise and insights. International speakers included Dr. Pawan Kumar Shukla (Russia) and Dr. Sarita Rani (USA), along with distinguished experts such as Dr. Shravan K. Paswan, Dr. Manvendra Singh, and Dr. Shubham Srivastava. Other prominent speakers included Dr. G. D. Gupta (Director-cum-Principal, ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga), Dr. Akram Ahmad (Founder & CEO, Academically), Dr. Luv Singhal (Senior Manager, Pontika Aerotech Limited), Dr. Kapil Kumar Verma (Professor and Principal, Minerva College of Pharmacy, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh), and Dr. Saurabh Kosey (Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice, ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga, Punjab).
The experts delivered insightful talks on drug discovery, translational research, pharmaceutical innovation, and global health challenges, while national experts from leading institutes and industry discussed key areas including pharmacology, microbiology, pharmacy practice, and pharmaceutical technology.
The conference also provided an excellent platform for young researchers and students to showcase their work. More than 400 participants presented their research through online and offline oral and poster presentations, with the best presentations recognised and awarded in each category. In addition, several special honours were conferred during the valedictory ceremony.
On this occasion, two academic books titled “Pharmacological and Toxicological Screening” and “Pharmacotherapeutics” were officially released. The event also witnessed the launch of a pharmacy inventory management software, “Rx Inventory.” The conference concluded with a formal vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the distinguished speakers, collaborators, participants, and the organising team for their valuable contributions in making the international conference a grand success.
