Department of Science, Technology and Environment, Government of Punjab (GoP) with the financial support of Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India (GoI) setup Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI) in 2005. PBTI is a component of Agri Food Biotechnology Cluster, Knowledge City, Sector 81, SAS Nagar (Mohali). PBTI, a registered Society under Societies Registration Act is professionally governed by Governing Council under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Punjab. PBTI started providing hi-end world class NABL accredited analytical services to Agri, Food, Environment and Allied Sectors from transit premises in Mohali.

Punjab Biotechnology Incubator (PBTI) invites applications for the following Project Positions purely on contractual basis for a period of one year or project duration & co-terminus with project.

Principal Project Associate – One (01)
Name of the Project : Punjab Life Sciences Up-Skilling (PLUS) Program
Fixed Monthly Emoluments : Rs. 49,000/-
Category : UR
Eligibility criteria :
• Essential:
o Master’s Degree in Basic/Life Sciences subjects, Environmental Sciences or Food Sciences OR B.Tech or equivalent in Biotechnology, Food Technology or Dairy Technology OR B.Pharma from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
o Five (05) years of experience in scientific activities or services in industry, academia, research organizations or any other scientific body.
o Sound knowledge of all MS-Office tools; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Desirable:
o Experience in designing and executing Human Resource Development programmes, skilling/training programmes or Information, Education and Communication (IEC) related activities.
o Degree/diploma in Business Administration.
• Age: 37 years or below.

Project Associate-II – One (01)

Eligibility criteria :
• Essential:
o Master’s Degree in Basic/Life Sciences subjects, Environmental Sciences or Food Sciences OR B.Tech or equivalent in Biotechnology, Food Technology or Dairy Technology OR B.Pharma from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
o Two (02) years of experience in scientific activities or services in industry, academia, research organizations or any other scientific body.
o Sound knowledge of all MS-Office tools; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Desirable:
o Experience in designing and executing Human Resource Development programmes, skilling/training programmes or Information, Education and Communication (IEC) related activities.
o Degree/diploma in Business Administration.
• Age: 35 years or below.
3. Technical Assistant

o Experience in coordinating/executing Human Resource Development programmes, skilling/training programmes or Information, Education and Communication (IEC) related activities.
o Computer course (minimum 2 months) in MS Office with knowledge of creative online tools like Canva.
• Age: 28 years or below.

Project Associate – One (01)
Name of the Project : Advisory Services for Establishment of Laboratories at Punjab Water Supply & Sewerage Board
Fixed Monthly Emoluments : Rs. 35,000/-
Category : SCW
Eligibility criteria :
• Essential:
o Ph.D. with research in the relevant area; OR
o First-class M.Tech or equivalent in Biotechnology, Food Technology or Dairy Technology OR First-class M.Pharma from a recognized University/Institute, with at least 2 years of analytical experience in the relevant field after the essential qualification; OR
o First-class Master’s Degree in Basic/Chemical/Life/Environmental Sciences or Food Sciences from a recognized University/Institute, with at least 3 years of analytical experience in the relevant field after the essential qualification.
• Desirable:
o Experience working with national/international testing and certification laboratories/organizations.
o Knowledge of national/international Laboratory Quality Management Systems and standards for quality testing.
• Age : Below 37 years.

Project Fellow – One (01)

2. The above posts are purely on contractual basis for a period of one year, or project duration whichever is earlier & co-terminus with Project and extendable as per requirement of the project.
3. Candidates should carefully read the required minimum essential qualifications, age and eligibility, experience criteria etc. mentioned in the advertisement before applying for the post.
4. Selection Process : The Selection shall be made on merit basis (Marks in Qualifying degree (50% weightage), Additional relevant qualification/ certification (10% weightage), Additional relevant experience (Upto 25% weightage) & performance in interaction (15% weightage).
5. 7. The candidates should apply separately for each post. Single application for multiple positions shall be summarily rejected.

9. No fee will be payable by Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST) candidates.

11. CGPA conversion to percentage formula of University/institute should be provided along with photo copy of DMC/Degree.
12. The appointing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason. Number of posts may be increased or decreased as per the decision of PBTI.
