Since many innovators are scientists and researchers, they do not have much knowledge of drug regulations and procedures to handle it. There is a need to bridge this gap.
In order to make the system more convenient, it has been decided to provide a direct video-conferencing (VC) facility at DCG(I) office to entrepreneurs, researchers and innovators in line with the mission of Ease of Doing Business and Make in India initiative of Govt. of India
The video conferencing facility is expected to help start-ups save a lot of time and clear regulatory hurdles quicker
Keeping above in view, this office has recently established Public Relations Office (PRO) as a single window for stakeholders with an objective to provide guidance to innovators/start-ups regarding regulatory requirements for commercialisation of their products.
A robust regulatory system streamlining the approval process is important to ensure safety, efficacy and quality of medicinal products as well as to support, facilitate, guide and encourage entrepreneurs, researchers and innovators in the field of pharmaceutical research.
The timing of the video conferencing will be from 10am to 5.30pm on all working days with prior appointment of the DCGI office. The applicant can avail the facility by making request for appointment with details of proposal in the prescribed format to public relations email id startupinnov@cdsco.nic.in.
