Government of Gujarat has recognized the importance of the science of biotechnology and its potentiality. With the vision to develop biotechnology sector and to provide global level opportunities, research and development in the state, the government in the year 2004, established Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission (GSBTM) as a state nodal agency dedicated to biotechnology.

The  Ministry  of  Education,  Culture,  Sports,  Science  and  Technology  (MEXT)  of  Japan  offers  scholarships  to international students who wish to study in graduate courses at Japanese universities as Research Students (either regular students or non-regular students) under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program as follows.

NICED moved from the rented premises at No. 3 Kyd Street to its own establishment at P-33, C.I.T. Road, Scheme XM, Beliaghata, Kolkata 700010, adjacent to the Infectious Diseases Hospital. The unique feature of this Institute is that it conducts basic research and applied clinical and epidemiological research on diarrhoeal diseases under the same roof.

Delhi Technological University (Formerly Delhi College of Engineering)is one of the best technological universities in India. The institution was set up at historic Kashmere Gate campus as a follow up of the Wood and Abott Committee of 1938. The Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) is an autonomous R & D institute under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), GOI engaged in multidisciplinary research on basic science and technology development. IASST has a research group focused on understanding the role of various ethnicity factors on human gut microbiome and health. One of the mandates of IASST is to enhance livelihood of the ST/SC communities of the north-east through scientific interventions.
