The BITS BioCyTiH Foundation (henceforth The Foundation) is a Section 8 non-profit company hosted by BITS Pilani under the National Mission of Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) of Government of India (GOI). The mandate of the company is to fashion a platform that would foster translational research, innovation, skill development and training in areas of bio-cyber-physical systems (Bio-CPS) related to healthcare, agriculture, water and environment. Shri Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Pharmacy, established in 2004, has emerged as one of the premier Institute in the field of Pharmacy. Unlike the Postgraduate Institutes which lack the basic departments like Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, General Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology etc, the new AIIMS will have these departments as well as the superspecialty departments like neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, urology, endocrinology etc.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Kolkata (NIPER-K) was created in 2007 under the aegis of Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizer as a centre of excellence for higher education, research and development in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
