Job Description:
As Bausch + Lomb’s Product Manager you will develop Rx group product strategies and ensure tactical implementation of these. To succeed in this role you will be a self driven with experience in a medical background. You will have proven success in an international pharmaceutical company as a Product Manager, Brand Manager or Junior Product Manager. To achieve our global strategy you will require a good understanding of English and an understanding of regulatory requirements.

Objectives: Develop Rx group product and per product strategy and ensure the tactical implementaion of these.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy/Vision Development:
• Strategic Planning: as part of the marketing community understand, provide input and align with the Global brand strategies. Work with the EM Business Unit to set local priorities and adapt global strategies

Consumer, ECP (doctors), Competition, Market, Understanding:
• Consumer: you are the local consumer expert in your country; work with EMBU to plug knowledge gaps and develop insights about local consumer needs and attitudes
ECP (doctors) and Customer: work with Sales and Professional Relation to develop deep understanding of local ECP/customer dynamics and key drivers; share learning with EMBU
• Competition: expert in local country competitive environment (product, pricing, in-store, media) ensuring local competitive activity is tracked and EMBU kept informed. Work with Sales and EMBU to find ways to combat local competitive initiatives and pricing moves

Business Planning and Analysis:
• Day-to-day business: Expert in local country businesses day-to-day; share information with EMBU; seek EMBU input to assist in local developments: ensure EMBU is informed on the progress of key initiatives
• Forecast: you will be responsible for rolling SKU forecast for production and financial purposes with accuracy target
• Financial analysis: You are responsible to manage activities within the allocated marketing budget. Track and control marketing initiatives and budgets in order to optimize ROI. Be aware of the country P&L and identify key drivers and issues and propose corrective actions if necessary.

Brand Equity/Product Communication:
• Brand Definition: understand, preserve and enhance brand equity
• Communication: understand and provide input into Global consumer and ECP communication; ensure brand equity is reflected across all consumer and ECP communication vehicles and in specific local activities

Marketing Plan Development
• Marketing plan: actively participate in the annual planning process and provide input into the Operating Plan. Take lead for developing region wide initiatives agreed with EMBU
• Media planning / PR: based on EMBU media and PR strategies and objectives; develop local communication plans and seek EMBU approval prior to execution.
• Deployment: work with sales and other cross-functional teams and supervise direct reports to execute agreed local plan
• Base business demand forecasting: develop deep understanding of local business demand drivers; work with Demand Planning and Sales to anticipate demand accurately to minimize cost and out-of-stocks; understand and input to EMBU new initiative demand thinking for local country

Candidate Profile:
• University degree
• Medical background is an advantage
• Communication, presentation, effective working in a team, media understanding
• At least 3 years in international pharmaceutical company in role of Product Manager, Brand Manager, Junior product manager (in case of big companies).
• Brand management knowledge
• Good communication skills (experience with KOL)
• Good planning skills
• Good with figures
• P&L understanding
• Understanding of regulatory basics
• Self driven / motivated
• Upper-intermediate English preferable
