Job Description:
The Quality Assurance (QA) manager will be responsible for managing quality systems at more than one of the following sites: Health Care R&D center/ manufacturing sites, suppliers of raw materials, packaging materials, to ensure compliance with cGMP and local regulations as well as with external regulatory agency requirements for TGA audit approval and Japanese MHLW certification. The candidate will work with R&D, Product Supply Operations and Planning teams as well as contractors, suppliers etc to build and sustain Quality Assurance Capability at site as well as contractor/ suppliers. The QA manager will also interact with multi-functional project teams including R&D to identify solutions that best meet business need while ensuring compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
Business contributions will include
1. Develop and improve QA capability and systems at Health Care R&D/manufacturing site to ensure timely QC/ QA support, product release / reject decisions
2. Work with mfg sites and contract mfg locations to ensure compliance with importing country regulations (TGA/Medsafe and MHLW)
3. Develop and improve supplier capability to for starting material quality in line with applicable standards
4. Leading investigation of quality issues and developing systemic action plans to fix root causes.

Candidate Profile:
   1. Post -graduate degree in Chemistry, Microbiology or Pharmacy is required. Candidates with Microbiology background will be preferred.
   2. Experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance in pharmaceutical industry is required (2-3 years), preferably with experience in Lozenges/ Ointments/ Tablets/Creams, with strong understanding of Validation and other QA systems.
   3. High integrity, Passion for doing the right thing
   4. Good communication skills in English (written and verbal)
   5. Strong analytical ability and problem solving skills, effective priority setting skills
   6. Ability to work effectively in teams, with focus on solutions
   7. Willingness to travel to support business need
   8. Location flexibility is needed. The job will be based either out of Baddi or Mandideep - candidates would be required to travel between these locations.
   9. Candidate must have a passion for career in QA and preference will be given to candidates who are willing to consider QA as a long term career option
  10. Knowledge of local FDA requirements per Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules / Having approved chemist/ technical staff recognition from FDA though not mandatory will be an added advantage. Experience in facing regulatory agency audit for formulation units will be an advantage
