Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Biotechnology Research Innovation Council (BRIC), an organization of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications from the Indian Nationals to join the following position sanctioned under ANRF-funded (DST) project.
Post : Project Associate II
Project title : Genome-wide association mapping of important agronomic traits in the climate- resilient crop little millet (Panicum sumatrense), using a haplotype-resolved genome assembly of the crop plant.
Duration of the Project : 2 years
Project Investigator : Dr. Seema Pradhan
Remuneration : i) INR 42,000/- + HRA for candidates having passed (a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions
ii) INR 33,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under the above.
Age Limit : 35 years
Eligibility : Master's Degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology from a recognized University or equivalent and Two years' experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services. Candidates with experience in Bioinformatics, especially NGS data analysis, will be preferred.
All the positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final, and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
