Raigad district has historical and geographical background. The district's north-south expansion is 170 kms. East-West expanses 70 kms. It's so much. Located on the Arabian Sea shores, this Raigad district is surrounded by green coconut trees and high mountains on all sides.  Raigad district has received the honor as the capital of Shivaji Maharaj's regime.
