Space Applications Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad is a lead centre of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Department of Space (DOS). SAC focuses on the design and development of space borne instruments for communication, navigation, remote sensing, human space and planetary programmes of ISRO besides conceptualization/operationalization of associated applications for national development.

PAY & ALLOWANCE AND AGE CRITERIA: Level 5 (₹29,200 - ₹92,300) In addition, Dearness Allowances (DA), House Rent Allowances (HRA) and Transport Allowance are payable as per extant rules on the subject. The employees will be governed by the National Pension System (NPS)/Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) as per Government of India rules. Further, medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidised canteen, limited quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, House Building Advance etc. are admissible as per Central Government orders.
Age limit as on 13.11.2025: 18-35 Years
Relaxation is applicable in upper age limit by 05 years for SC/ST candidates and 03 years for OBC candidates against the posts reserved for these categories. Ex- Servicemen (ESMs), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), Central Govt. servants, Meritorious Sportspersons etc. are eligible for upper age relaxation as per Government of India Orders.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: The date and venue of the Written Test will be communicated to the candidates at the appropriate time. SAC/ISRO reserves the right to change the written test date and/or venue.
The Selection process for Pharmacist A consists of (1) Written test and (2) Skill test.
The Written Test will be conducted only for the screened-In candidates. Based on the written test scores, required no. of candidates alone shall be called for skill test. Written test will be conducted in such a way that theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate is tested covering both breadth and depth of the prescribed curriculum. The syllabus of the written test will be as per the syllabus prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
The skill test will be purely ‘go-no-go’ basis (qualifying nature only) and marks obtained in the skill test will not be considered for selection. The skill test will be evaluated on a 100-point scale with minimum 60% for qualification. From amongst candidates who qualify in the skill test with minimum 60% marks, empanelment will be done in the order of marks obtained in the written test.
In case of a tie in the written test scores, the academic scores of the notified qualification will be the tie-breaker. The 2nd tie-breaker, on need basis, will be the age of the candidate, whereby a senior candidate will be placed ahead.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria as notified, complies with all the procedural requirements, and adheres to the instructions contained in this advertisement as well as in the application form. Candidates are, therefore, advised to carefully read the advertisement, complete the application form with due diligence, and submit the same strictly in accordance with the prescribed guidelines, within the stipulated time frame, including remittance of application fee. Any deviations from the procedures notified would result in cancellation of candidature and no representation on the matter will be entertained.
2. The number of vacancies indicated above are provisional and may be increased or decreased depending on the actual requirements of the Organization. The Centre reserves the right to cancel recruitment at any stage / not to fill-up any of the post, as per administrative requirements.
3. The candidates shall be given option in online application to choose Centre for written examination from among the eighteen cities viz; Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Page 6 of 12 Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi and Thiruvananthapuram. The allocation of examination city shall be done based on the number of applications received. SAC reserves the right to conduct the examination only in Ahmedabad, or in additional multiple cities as feasible. The Centre for written test will be notified to the candidate, which shall be final and binding.
4. Intimation to screened-in candidates for Written Test/Skill Test will be sent through E-mail /SAC website only. For this purpose, candidates are required to furnish their E-mail ID correctly and compulsorily while submitting the application. Moreover, the applicants are advised to check their e-mail regularly and visit the SAC website from time to time. SAC/ISRO will not be responsible for non-receipt of intimation to the candidates for any reason.
5. If any information furnished by the applicant in the online application is found false/incomplete at any stage of recruitment process, her/his candidature will be cancelled.
6. Candidates will have to produce original documents in proof of the details furnished in their application for verification at the time of Skill Test. Those who fail to produce the said documents will not be allowed to attend the Skill Test and TA will not be paid.
7. No Objection Certificate: Candidates who are employed under Central/ State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies etc. have to submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer concerned, at the time of Skill Test or as and when called for. However, the candidate should apply for the post only under intimation to and with the prior permission of the employer. For a candidate, who gets/changes employment after applying, is required to inform the employer the particulars of his/her application and shall mandatorily submit NOC at the time of Skill Test. Any candidate, who fails to submit NOC in original at the time of Skill Test, shall not be permitted to appear in the Skill Test and TA will not be paid.
8. For post code – 16 In case the marks obtained are in the form other than percentages, (CGPA and CPI), please convert them into percentage and the formula of conversion should be certified by the Head of the Institution/University/Board or should be mentioned in the mark-sheet.
9. Rounding–off of marks of educational qualifications is NOT allowed. The percentage of marks, as entered by the applicant, should be up to two digits after decimal.
10. The essential qualification included in the advertisement against each postcode is exhaustive/final. Candidates possessing qualification other than those mentioned against each postcode are not eligible.
11. Any candidate seeking claim of equivalency of the qualification with the notified qualification, shall mandatorily furnish documentary evidence (certified by University/Board/Institution) in support of his/her claim at the time of Skill Test.
12. Any request for change of written test date/Centre or skill test date/Centre or e-mail id for communication or any other information furnished in online application will NOT be entertained.
13. Reservation category such as UR/EWS/SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/ESM etc. declared by the candidate in the application will be considered as final and no change in the same will be entertained.
14. Other Backward Classes(OBC) category must ensure that they possess a valid OBC-NCL (Non- Creamy Layer) certificate issued by the competent authority for employment under Central Government posts, valid on the date of online application, as per DoPT OM No. 36036/2/2013-Estt.(Res.) Dated 30.05.2014 and subsequent amendments.
15. At the time of Skill Test, PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates have to produce original certificate of disability in the prescribed format clearly indicating the percentage of disability, issued by Medical Board consisting of at least 3 members out of which one shall be a specialist in the particular field for assessing the disability, duly constituted by Central or a State Government. Degree of disability should be minimum 40% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). The definition of Disabilities are as specified in the schedule of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
16. Ex-servicemen have to submit a copy of the Discharge Certificate/NOC duly indicating the Exserviceman status at the time of Skill Test. Ex-Servicemen also have to submit necessary equivalency certificate issued by the Competent Authority whenever the qualification acquired by them is different from the essential qualification prescribed for the posts advertised and applied for by them.
17. Candidates belonging to EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) category must ensure that they possess a valid EWS certificate issued by a competent authority in the prescribed format for recruitment to Central Government posts, which is valid at the time of online application, as per DoPT OM No. 36039/1/2019-Estt. (Res.) dated 31.01.2019 and subsequent amendment.
18. Career advancement for Technical posts in ISRO is based on Merit Promotion Scheme where the employees are reviewed and promoted to the next higher grade on merit after a prescribed residency period without reference to vacancies.

General Guidelines for filling the Online Application
1. Follow instructions carefully while filling applications.
2. Enter correct data in the relevant columns as required.
3. How to apply:The link for the application for on-line registration will be hosted in the SAC web-sites https://www.sac.gov.in or https://careers.sac.gov.in during the period from 24-Oct-2025 (10:00 AM) to 13-Nov-2025 (05:00 PM). Applications will be received through on-line mode only. Upon online registration, applications will be provided with an on-line Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference. The candidates are also advised to take a printout of the online application for future reference.
It may be clearly noted that online application once submitted cannot be edited later. Hence, applicants are advised to verify whether all details entered in the application are correct before final submission of the application.
E-mail ID of the applicant will have to be provided in the on-line application correctly and compulsorily (Hall Tickets/Call letters for Written Test/Skill Test for those who will be screened-in will be sent through e-mail only and no separate hard copy will be sent).
Guidelines for uploading Photo, Signature and documents:
Candidates are required to upload clear images/scanned copies of the following documents in the Online portal, failing which their applications will be rejected:
- Recent colour passport size photograph (not older than 6 months) in .jpg/.jpeg format only, with maximum Size of 1MB and dimensions of 500 pixels (width) * 500 pixels (height)
- Signature-in .jpg/.jpeg format only, with maximum Size of 1MB and dimensions of 700 pixels (width) * 200 pixels (height).
- All required Essential Qualification certificates should be uploaded in .pdf format of maximum size of 1MB.
- SC/ST/Disability/Ex-Servicemen certificate as applicable for full refund of processing Fee, should be uploaded in .pdf format with maximum size of 1MB (any one certificate).
(While filling up on-line application, it is advisable to keep the above documents readily available to upload the same.)
Note:
- No selfie is allowed. Frontal view of the full face should be visible. Background should be plain/white. Application with blurred photograph or any image uploaded other than the recent colored passport size photograph, such applications shall be summarily rejected. Black and white photographs not allowed. Similarly, signature uploaded should be clear and legible. Failure to meet these requirements in the online application will lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Application submitted without uploading the requisite documents will be treated as invalid.
- Candidates will have to produce proof of details regarding educational qualification prescribed for the post, caste certificate (i.e. SC/ST/OBC), Income and Asset Certificate for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Discharge certificate for Ex-Servicemen and Disability Certificate for PwBD candidates as and when called for.
- The documents uploaded will be verified during Skill Test and mere admission to appear for written examination/skill test will not bestow eligibility for selection.
PAYMENT OF APPLICATION FEE:
- After filling all the details like Personal Information, Educational Qualifications, uploading all the required documents etc. final submit the application.
- Initially all applicants have to uniformly pay ₹500/- as application-fee.
- On payment page, verify the details and click on “Proceed” button, a prompt will be appeared with message “You are being redirected to payment gateway”, Click on “Ok” button.
- Candidate will be redirected to Bharatkosh payment portal, after verifying all details click on “Confirm” button to proceed.
In next page, candidate will be able to see multiple payment aggregator like HDFC, SBI, AXIS, ICICI etc., candidate has to choose any payment aggregator along with any mode of the payment like Net banking, UPI, Credit/Debit card, followed by entering captcha, select the declaration and click on “Pay” button.
- Candidate will be prompted to enter payment credentials or will receive UPI payment request to make the payment.
- After successful payment candidate will receive successful payment SMS on their registered mobile number and will receive payment receipt on their registered Email id.
- Incase payment is debited from candidate’s account but confirmation message not received, candidate is advised to wait for 24 hours before initiating new transaction.
- Payment of Application Fee in any form like cash remittance, cheque, draft, money order, IPO, etc. are not allowed (or) No other mode of payment will be accepted.
- All Applicable service charges for payment of Application fee shall be borne by the Applicant.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
1. Only Indian Nationals need to apply.
2. Applications made through online mode only will be entertained. Offline applications will not be entertained.
3. All the posts are temporary but likely to continue.
4. CANVASSING IN ANY FORM WILL BE CONSIDERED AS DISQUALIFICATION.
5. No interim correspondence/phone calls will be entertained.

7. Outstation Candidates called for Skill Test will be paid to and fro Second Class Sleeper Railway Fare or non-A/C Bus fare or actual fare whichever is less as per shortest distance from the address given in on-line application to the place of skill test on production of proof of journey, irrespective of the mode of journey viz., Rail, Bus, Air, etc. No TA will be paid for appearing in Written Test.
8. Initially the place of posting will be in SAC, Ahmedabad, but the incumbents may be posted in any of the Centres/Units of ISRO or Department of Space situated anywhere in India as and when required.
9. Selected candidates may have to join the post immediately on being found fit by a Medical Authority.
10. Please note that the qualifications prescribed above for the posts advertised are the minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make the candidates eligible for written test/skill test (as the case may be). Initial screening will be done and only screened-in candidates will be called for further selection. No correspondence will be entertained with the candidates who are not screened in for written test/ shortlisted for skill test /not selected for Appointment.
11. Candidates who have pursued trade/diploma course through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) are not eligible.
12. SAC reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts or cancel the advertisement.
13. In case of any ambiguity/dispute arises on account of interpretation of any clause either in Hindi/English of this advertisement, the decision of SAC will be final.
