NIMHANS is conducting a Walk in Selection to fill up the post of “Project Associate” on a contract basis for the project titled “Asian Bipolar Genetics Network (A-BIG-NET)” funded by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) under Dr.Biju Viswanath, Additional Professor of Psychiatry and Principal Investigator, NIMHANS, Bengaluru - 560029.

Essential Qualification : Master’s degree in Life Sciences with a minimum of 2 years of research experience.
Post 1: - At least 1 year of hands-on research experience in cell culture techniques (Preference will be given for Stem cell experience)
Post 2 : At least 1 year of hands-on research experience in phlebotomy and handli ng human Bio-specimens on a large scale, with proficiency in DNA/RNA extraction using standard methods. Experienced in multicentre research projects, including sample processing and Bio- banking.
Maximum Age Limit : 40 Years
Salary : Rs. 42,000/- P.M (Consolidated)
Duration : 06 Months - the contractual extension is contingent on the performance of the candidate (up to the end of the project period i.e., 31 July 2027).
NOC is required from the Principal Investigator if working on projects (Extramural/Intramural) in NIMHANS.
