National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Kolkata (NIPER-K) was created in 2007 under the aegis of Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizer as a centre of excellence for higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences. This followed establishment of NIPER Mohali, which is the first national level institute in pharmaceutical sciences with a proclaimed objective of becoming a centre of excellence for advanced studies and research in pharmaceutical sciences.
Post : Research Associate
Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology of NIPER-Kolkata is involved in the studies on various animal models of diabetes, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and respiratory disorders. Special interest is in the studies on protein and RNA expression studies and disease pathway analysis. Institute is recruiting a Research Associate for an available ICMR sponsored project.

Salary : As per norms and decided based on qualification and experience
Duration - One year, which can be extended based on performance.
Upper Age Limit (Yr.) : 35 (5 years relaxation for Women candidate)
Minimum Educational qualifications/ skills/experience, etc. required for eligibility
Essential : Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences / Biological Sciences with First Class in MS (Pharm) / M.Pharm /M.Sc. (Biological Sciences) in Pharmacology OR 3 years’ experience with professional courses - M.S. (Pharm) in Pharmacology / Toxicology or M.V.Sc. PhD students who have submitted thesis can apply, however they would be assigned extended SRF designation till they defend their thesis.
Desirable: Candidates with extensive experience in preclinical animal models, molecular biology and network protein analysis will be given priority.
Job requirement: The selected candidate has to work on preclinical studies using animal models of diseases such as non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and respiratory disorders.
