Responsibilities:
Individual must have hands on experience with Biologics analysis (Protein/peptide) including the capability to work with the following instruments/techniques: (RP-HPLC, SEC, SDS-PAGE, Ion chromatography, MALDI-TOF MS etc.) Will be responsible for providing solutions to analytical problems related to method development, in process control testing methods of advanced intermediates, and active pharmaceutical ingredients. Individual will provide data interpretation and presentation of findings and will be responsible for the thorough evaluation of literature to support large molecule projects. Must have experience in supporting process development for new chemical entities /APIs. Successful individual will have LC-MS method development and structural evaluation experience and will also be responsible for the validation of analytical methods as per ICH guidelines and writing analytical reports. Will also be responsible for the preparation of standard operating procedures for analytical equipment/lab activities and the evaluation of working/reference standards for active pharmaceutical ingredients. Will support the generation of analytical data for investigational new drug applications/clinical phase molecules. Individual will also support the unification of drug substance/drug product analytical methods, the stability testing of pharmaceuticals as per ICH (International Conference on Harmonization) guidelines, while adhering to Good Laboratory Practices and ensuring safety norms in the analytical Development laboratory. Must have strong communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of PEGylation and related analytics will be an added advantage.
Requirements:
A PhD in a scientific discipline with 5-6 years of experience or a Masters with 10-13 years of experience is required. Equivalent experience may be accepted. A minimum of 4 years work experience in a research and/or development environment is required. Post-doctoral work may serve as experience. Must be able to demonstrate success in technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.
Must be current in field, while able to demonstrate expert knowledge in scientific principles and concepts. Must be able to clearly communicate scientific information both written and oral with minimal assistance. Must be able to compose sound written work with no assistance. Must possess good oral & written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment. Must be able to demonstrate problem solving capabilities. Strong organizational skills are required. Good computer skills are required. Working knowledge of MS word, Excel, Power point is a plus. Must be willing to work as part of a team. Must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
