BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an Institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The institute conducts innovative translational research and to develop research collaborations across disciplines and professions to translate concepts into products to improve human health.

This recruitment is to fill up the vacancies of BRIC-THSTI under the following projects

Research Scientist
Project : MOMI scale up nutritional and multi-omics analysis (Phase III)
PI : Dr. Nitya Wadhwa
Monthly consolidated emoluments : Rs. 88,000/
Age Limit : 40 years 
Essential & Desirable qualifications & Experience : Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degree, in Life Sciences from a recognized university with atleast five (5) years’ of post-qualification experience of clinical research. 
Desirable : Experience in handling clinical samples for processing and extraction of lysates for spectral data acquisition using mass spectrometry
Job description : • Development of protocols and methods for development of primary cell lines and placental organoids. 
• Skilled in routine molecular biology techniques like PCR, western blotting, tissue culture techniques and gene cloning is desirable. 
• Should have good writing and presentation skills to assist in drafting of the reports.

Lab Technician (One post)
Project : Inter-Institutional School of Diagnostic Innovation in Bio-design (SIB): A fellowship program for building next generation pool of diagnostic innovators and entrepreneur

Age Limit : 50 years 
Essential & Desirable qualifications & Experience : B.Sc. from a recognized University with one (1) year of post-qualification experience in the field of Phlebotomy, Saliva collection, NP swab collection, ELISA, PCR, culture etc.  
OR 
Three years Diploma from a recognized Institute/University with one year of post- qualification experience in field of Phlebotomy, Saliva collection, NP swab collection, ELISA, PCR, culture etc.
Job description : • Conduct laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses in support of SiB program objectives.
• Collaborate with researchers and scientists to perform various technical tasks. 
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, data, and results. 
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the laboratory. 
• Provide support in the development and implementation of research protocols. 
• To assist in any other works like fields/site visits related to projects or other scientific/ technical activities.

Senior Research Scientist (Clinical) (One post)
Project : A multi-country, multi-centre, three-arm, parallel group, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial of two doses of antenatal corticosteroids for women with a high probability of birth in the late preterm period in hospitals in low-resource countries to improve newborn outcomes (Action-III Trial)
PI : Dr. Nitya Wadhwa
Monthly consolidated emoluments : Rs. 1,25,000/-
Age Limit : 45 years 
Essential & Desirable qualifications & Experience : MD/ MS/ DNB or equivalent degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology / Pediatrics / Community Medicine from a MCI recognized university with atleast one (1) year of post-qualification clinical research experience in the domain of maternal and child health OR MDS or equivalent degree from a recognized university with atleast two (2) years of post- qualification clinical research experience in the domain of maternal and child health. OR MBBS/ BDS or equivalent degree from a recognized university with atleast five (5) years of post- qualification clinical research experience in the domain of maternal and child health
Desirable : • Demonstrated leadership in clinical research or trials, particularly maternal–child health or multi-site RCTs. 
• Experience in developing and implementing trial monitoring, safety, and quality assurance plans. 
• Familiarity with IRB/ethics submissions, regulatory requirements, and amendment processes. 
• Working knowledge of ICH- GCP and national guidelines 
• Authorship of peer-reviewed publications; experience in manuscript preparation. 
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills. 
• Ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams and manage competing priorities.
Job description : The selected candidate will be responsible for : 
• Clinical oversight for participant screening, enrolment, intervention administration, and outcome assessments, ensuring compliance with the protocol, SOPs, GCP, and regulatory guidelines. 
• Supervise safety monitoring and timely reporting of AEs/SAEs to all stakeholders. 
• Coordinate across investigators, project staff, data management, and monitoring teams to ensure smooth trial conduct and deliverables. 
• Develop SOPs or documents (as per requirement) to facilitate operations of the trial 
• Plan and deliver site trainings, capacity-building activities, and refresher sessions for clinical and research staff. 
• Contribute to progress reports, regulatory submissions, and scientific manuscripts.
• Provide oversight of IMP management, including receipt, storage, accountability, reconciliation, and destruction, ensuring adherence to protocol, GCP, and regulatory requirements. 
• Lead site-level interactions, troubleshooting, and problem resolution; ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards. 
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, site visits, and regulatory engagements as required. The candidate will be based at THSTI Faridabad with regular visits to hospital site(s) in Delhi.

Project Assistant (One post)
Project : A multi-country, multi-centre, three-arm, parallel group, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial of two doses of antenatal corticosteroids for women with a high probability of birth in the late preterm period in hospitals in low-resource countries to improve newborn outcomes (Action-III Trial)
PI : Dr. Nitya Wadhwa
Monthly consolidated emoluments : Rs. 45,000/-
Age Limit : 35 years 
Essential & Desirable qualifications & Experience : Post-Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least one (1) year of post qualification administrative experience of working in a government organization/ organization of repute. OR Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least three (3) years of post- qualification administrative experience of working in a government organization/ organization of repute.
Essential skills- 
• Good English communication skills 
• Demonstrated ability to understand, explain and communicate and manage project using standard tools and templates 
• Computer skills including proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, Ms-Word Excel, Power- point applications. 
Desirable : 
• Proficiency in typing. 
• Should be able to handle word processor and conversant with secretarial practice.
 • Effective time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities. 
• Good knowledge of Excel for office accounting and budgeting 
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Job description : The selected candidate will be responsible for providing support to project office operations performing a variety of standard administrative duties including typing of official documents ensuring high quality and accuracy of work. He/ She will be responsible for:- 
• Implementing, maintaining and developing efficient and effective administrative systems 
• Providing admin support to conferences, workshops and project related field visits 
• Assisting in compilation and preparation of briefing and presentation materials, speeches, background information and documentation for meetings 
• Arranging for travel and hotel reservations; preparing travel authorizations, 
• Processing requests for visas, identity cards and other documents for research staff. 
• Providing support for efficient functioning of the Project Team Ordering and checking resources and purchases for the team 
• Liaising with the project manager at the clinical site for ensuring smooth conduct of study at site: adequate site staff, site staff leaves, contract extension, salaries; procurement of equipment and consumables for site 
• Developing a system to ensure timely delivery of supplies to site 
• Primary liaison to the Procurement Department for equipment order placement process invoices when received 
• Handling requests of travel and logistics arrangements for the team 
• Arranging vehicle transportation, regular vehicle maintenance and insurance. 
• Management of office stationery supplies, including maintenance of office assets and stationery, distribution of stationery as required by staff and keeping a log of distribution 
• Maintaining the filing system and ensuring safekeeping of essential documents for the trial. 
• Follow up on deadlines, commitments made, actions taken. The project assistant will be based at THSTI and may be required to travel to the site when needed.

Project Research Scientist-II (One post)

Age Limit : 40 years 
Essential & Desirable qualifications & Experience : M.Sc. in Epidemiology/ Statistics/ Biostatistics/ Applied Mathematics/ Data Science/ Computer Science or equivalent degree from a recognized university with at least three (3) years’ of post qualification experience in biostatistics/ data science work in health data analysis. OR B.Tech. in Data Science/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology or equivalent degree from a recognized university with at least three (3) years’ of post qualification experience in biostatistics/ data science work in health data analysis
Job description : • Conduct advanced statistical analyses on pooled datasets using appropriate statistical software. 
• Apply various statistical methods on longitudinal data to answer specific research questions. 
• Ensure rigorous data validation and quality control measures are applied throughout the analysis process. 
• Will assist the Principal Investigator and Biostatistician in carrying out data analysis- related activities. 
• Preparing the dataset for statistical analysis 
• Exploratory data analysis and Data visualization, preparing manuscript-ready figures and tables.

Project Research Scientist-II (Project Management) (One post)
Project : Improving maternal and neonatal outcomes using imaging data science
PI : Dr. Nitya Wadhwa
Monthly consolidated emoluments : Rs. 67,000/- plus HRA
Age Limit : 40 years 
Essential & Desirable qualifications & Experience : Post-graduate degree, in health- related subject or clinical research from a recognized university with at least three (3) years’ of post qualification experience in relevant field. OR Ph.D. in health-related subject or clinical research from a recognized university. 
Desirable : • Master’s in business administration. 
• Should have worked in projects involving industry partners and startups 
• Experience in handling research grants including from BIRAC, ICMR etc
Job description : • Project Planning: Develop schedules, milestones for AI pregnancy tool development; monitor progress and adjust for grant timelines. 
• Team Coordination: Lead data scientists, clinicians, startups; facilitate industry partner meetings and collaborations. 
• Grant Handling : Track budgets, prepare financial/progress reports; ensure compliance with funding rules. 
• Reporting : Analyse data, write reports; oversee multi-centric monitoring and deliverables

Note
1) The candidates must bring their latest CV/resume, one set of photocopy of documents in support of their educational qualification and experience along with their originals and a valid ID card for verification. 
2) Candidates coming after the time slot mentioned will not be entertained. 
3) All the candidates coming for written test/skill test/interview at THSTI are mandatorily required to deposit their mobile phone along with valid Identity proof at the reception and the same will only be returned back on completion of the entire selection process.

General Terms & Conditions
a) These are the short-term positions, and extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbents and tenure of the project for which they are selected. Those appointed to these positions will not have any claim for regularization of their employment. 
b) All educational, professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognized Board/University. 
c) The experience requirement specified above shall be the experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications specified for the post. The candidates are required to satisfy themselves, before applying /appearing for the selection process, that they possess the minimum eligibility criteria as laid down in the recruitment advertisement. No query will be entertained with regard to eligibility criteria. 
d) The date of Interview of the respective post will be the CRUCIAL DATE for determining eligibility with regard to age, experience, essential qualification etc. 
e) Age and other relaxations for direct recruits and departmental candidates: 1. By five years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities. 2. By three years for candidates belonging to OBC communities. 3. For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) falling under the following categories: (i) UR - ten years, ii) OBC - 13 years (iii) SC/ST - 15 4. Age is relaxable for Central Government servants up to five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government, from time-to-time. 5. Institute employees will get the age relaxation to the extent of the service rendered by them as on closing date of advertisement. 6. For Ex-servicemen upto the extent of service rendered in defense forces (Army, Navy & Air force) plus 3 years provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months attested service. 
f) All results/notifications will only be published on our website. Therefore, the candidates should essentially visit THSTI website, regularly. 
g) All communications will only be made through email. 
h) In case many candidates appear for the walk-in interview, screening will be done to limit the number of candidates to those possessing higher/relevant qualification and experience. 
i) The no. of vacancy indicated above may change subjected to the actual requirement at the time of Written test/skill test/interview. 
j) With regard to any provisions not covered in this notification, the bye laws of THSTI / Govt. of India rules / guidelines shall prevail.
