Opportunity for Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical Sciences candidates at NIPER

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad is an "Institute of National Importance" with proclaimed objectives of becoming Centre of Excellence for advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER-Mohali was the first institute established in the year 1998 under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the Govt. of India. Later, the DOP established 6 new NIPERs across the country including NIPER-Hyderabad which started functioning from 19th October 2007, from the premises of erstwhile R&D Centre of IDPL, Balanagar, Hyderabad.

Applications are invited for the Walk In Interview for the positions of Research Associate- 01, Junior Research Fellow-02 and Lab attendant-01 in the MOES-funded project entitled “Exploration of Marine Microbial Communities for Identification of Promising Hits/Leads with Potential Activity Against Tuberculosis/Leishmaniasis and as a Source of Pharmaceutically Important Enzymes” in the supervision of Prof Srinivas Nanduri (PI).

Qualifications and Consolidated Salary :
A) Essential Qualification for Research Associate – 01 : PhD in Organic Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Process Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent. Research experience in organic synthesis, purification techniques, and spectral characterization will be preferred.
Salary : as per DST norms
B) Essential Qualification for Junior Research Fellow - 02 : Postgraduate in the field Life Sciences or Pharmaceutical Sciences or any other allied Life Sciences.
Salary : As per DST norms.
C) Essential Qualification for Lab Attendant-01 : 10th+ Diploma with two years of experience.
Desirable : Preferably speaking English, Hindi, and Telugu. A person with experience in sample collection, computer skills and laboratory management will be preferred

Terms and Conditions :
a) The positions are purely temporary and will be governed by administrative rules and regulations of NIPER, Hyderabad.
b) Candidates, before appearing for the interview, shall ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to apply.
c) Interested candidates are required to fill in the online application form completely.
d) The project duration is for two year and the position is co-terminus with the project.
e) No TA/DA is permissible for appearing in the interview and joining in case of selection.
f) Candidate shall bring along with them the original degree(s)/certificate(s) and experience certificate(s) at the time of interview for verification.
g) Appointment will be contractual in nature and as per the Institute terms and conditions.
h) The position is temporary and is extendable till the completion of project subject to satisfactory performance.
