AIIMS Raipur is one of the SIX AIIMS healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). With the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training the PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.

Advertisement for various posts, purely on contractual basis under financially approved ‘DHR-ICMR Advanced Molecular Oncology Diagnostic Services (DIAMOnDS) project for five years, at AIIMS Raipur for establishment of Oncopathology laboratory in Department of Pathology & Lab Medicine, as per the details given below

Job Duration : 11 months, extendable, depending upon candidates performance and budget grant from funding agency

Educational Qualification :
Essential : MBBS degree with 6 years' experience or Post Graduate Diploma in medical subjects after MBBS with 5 years' experience in the relevant subject. OR Post Graduate Degree (MD/ MS/ DNB) after MBBS with 4-year research experience in the relevant field.
Desirable : (i) Doctorate (Ph.D.) in the relevant subject (Molecular Biology / Genetics / Pathology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Pediatrics / Medicine / Medical Oncology) from a recognized university.
(ii) Additional Post-doctoral research / teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized institute(s).
(iii) Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology or Genetics from a recognized university for candidates with first class relevant degree.
(iv) Knowledge of Bioinformatics, Computer Applications (Word, Power point, Excel etc.) or Business Intelligence tools / Data Management.
(v) Candidate should have working knowledge in Histopathology Techniques including IHC, PCR, RT PCR & FISH.
(vi) Additional Post-doctoral research / training experience in Molecular Biology or Genetics subjects in recognized institute(s).
(vii) Two years R&D / Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential Qualification.
OR
Essential:
• Master’s degree in Molecular Biology or Biotechnology or Genetics or Medical Pathology, Medical Biochemistry, Medical Microbiology, Applied Biology, Life Sciences, from a recognized university with 4 years of experience in relevant area.
OR
• B. Tech Biotechnology from a reputed university with 6 years of research experience.
Desirable :
(i) Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology or Genetics from a recognized university for candidates with first class relevant degree. (ii) Knowledge of Bioinformatics, Computer Applications (Word, Power point, Excel etc.) or Business Intelligence tools / Data Management.

NOTE :
(i) PhD degree in relevant subjects shall be treated equivalent to three years experience.

Job Profile :
* Responsible for the scientific, and / or technical aspects of the implementation of HTA projects of DHR.
* Invitation of applications / proposals from the States / Medical Colleges / Institutions for HTA studies and coordinating with them for project work
* Contacting and coordinating with other partner Institutes (Medical Colleges / Hospitals) associated with the study
* Help in preparing specifications of various instruments and consumables to be used for various tests conducted in the project
* Hands on guidance for conduct of various molecular tests and training the technical assistants to carry out the tests practically
* Help in writing of any significant laboratory work for publication in reputed journals.
* Help in monitoring and maintaining the project budget including expenditure details with receipts filing.
• Overall coordination and conduct of project activities including analysis and report writing.
* Conducting Workshops / seminars / Stake holders meeting etc and contribute to drafting official reports, including summaries of workshops and events.
* Any other work assigned by PI and the Department of Health Research, ICMR.
Proposed salary : Consolidated Rs.67,000/-(Sixty Seven Thousand Rupees only) per month +HRA

Terms and Conditions
1. The above mentioned vacancy is for a fixed tenure of 11 months and extendable to five more years depending on the satisfactory performance and budget allocation from ICMR.
2. The selection will not be an employment on AIIMS Raipur pay-roll. Employment will automatically get terminated upon completion of the 11 months from the day of joining of duties and there is no liability for permanent employment on AIIMS, Raipur or on Principal investigator. The candidate will have NO right to claim for permanent Employment under AIIMS /DHR or continuation of his / her services in any other project.

4. 5. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Interested candidates may appear for walk-in interview. Candidates should bring duly filled application form (As per the prescribed Performa) and all original certificates of educational qualifications, copies of research publications and experience certificate, identity proof, along with two photographs and a set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates and relevant documents at the time of interview.
6. If candidate working in Government / Semi Government / PSU Institution – No Objection Certificate is a must.
7. The appointment can be terminated with one month notice from either side without assigning any reason.

Selection procedure
The applications received will be scrutinized by the selection committee. Recruitments will be made through Interview and In case of large number of eligible applications; a written test will be conducted. In case of large number of eligible applications, interview may be spilled over to next day, so, the candidates should come prepared for the same. Selection of the candidates will be based on qualification, experience and performance of the candidate before the selection committee, during the interview.
