Qualification : Diploma in Pharmacy
Monthly Stipend* (in Rs.) : 13,500/-
A Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) amount of Rs. 4000/- for Diploma Apprentices will be provided by Govt. of India under NATS scheme. The above stipend is inclusive of DBT amount wherever applicable. The candidate should have an active Aadhaar seeded bank account and same should be DBT enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer as per Govt. of India norms.
Selected Apprentices will receive the prescribed monthly stipend subject to satisfactory performance and attendance.
Terms and Conditions for the Engagement of Apprentices in NHPC
1. Eligibility Criteria : Candidates who possess educational qualifications as mentioned above and are medically fit as per the provisions of the Apprentice Act, 1961 are eligible to apply. Candidates awaiting the results of the qualifying examination at the time of application or those who have already undergone apprenticeship training of 01 year or more are not eligible to apply.
2. Age: The apprentice should not be less than 18 years of age and the maximum age shall not be more than 30 years. However, the relaxations to the reserved category shall be given as per the Govt. guidelines.
3. Reservation : The reservation as per the Apprentice Act 1961 will be followed. Applicants who are claiming reservation under above categories shall provide certificate as per Government standard format issued by the competent authority, failing which their claim for reservation will not be accepted and considered as ‘General’ category only.
4. Minimum Physical Standards: The apprentice shall produce medical fitness certificate as per the provisions of Apprentices Act 1961 to be eligible for apprenticeship training. The standard of physical fitness for training shall be as per Schedule –II of Apprentices Rule, 1992 and amendments thereof if any.
5. Duration of Training: The duration of training will be 01 year but may be extended up to 02 years as per the provisions of Apprentice Act, 1961 and Rules made thereunder.
6. Place of Training : The place of training will be at respective NHPC locations (Project/Power Station/ Unit) as per the notification.
7. Accommodation: Shared bachelor accommodation may be provided to apprentice at the training location. If accommodation is not provided, then an additional payment of Rs. 2500/- per month will be paid. 8. Working Hours and Holidays: a.) The trainees will observe normal Office Timings and will be entitled to weekly off and Holidays as applicable to NHPC employees. b.) In case they are required to attend the office on holidays/weekly offs/ beyond office hours due to office exigencies they will not be entitled to any compensation, whether monetary or otherwise in lieu thereof.
9. Leave: The apprentices will be entitled to following leave during the apprenticeship period of one year :
a) One (01) day Casual Leave for every completed month of training, subject to maximum 12 (Twelve) days during the apprenticeship period of 01 (one) year.
b) 15 (Fifteen) days Medical Leave subject to production of Medical certificate including Medical fitness certificate to assume duty.
c) 20 days Extra Ordinary Leave (EOL) on any ground in case of exhaust of casual leave and Medical Leave.
10. Intellectual Property Rights : Any invention, discoveries, or works created by the apprentice during the training will be the sole property of NHPC.
11. Termination Rights: NHPC reserves the right to terminate the apprenticeship at any time for reasons including absenteeism, indiscipline, misconduct, poor performance, or violation of company policies. etc.
Other Terms & Conditions
i. Applicant must be an Indian citizen and 18 years old or above at the time of application.
ii. Incomplete application or applications submitted without proper documents will be summarily rejected without any intimation.
iii. Candidates are advised to apply for only one region/state/trade of their choice. Candidates submitting multiple applications or applying for more than one region/state/trade will not be considered and their applications will be summarily rejected.
iv. If any candidate found not eligible/ providing false information/ documents are not in order, shall be disqualified at any stage during the engagement process or during the period of engagement.
v. Candidate must possess the requisite degree/ diploma /ITI qualification in their respective area by a recognized institute/university.
vi. The percentage of marks should be clearly stated in the final/consolidated mark sheet/certificate. If not, an equivalent Percentage Conversion Letter issued by the institute/university must be uploaded.
vii. The required area of specialization should be mentioned in the degree/diploma/ITI mark sheet/certificate. If not, a certificate/letter from the institute/university stating the specialization must be provided.
viii. The above mentioned vacancies may increase or decrease as per the requirement.
ix. In case any information / claim made by the applicant in his/her application is found to be false, the candidature of such applicant shall be cancelled and actions as per rule will be taken.
x. The Apprentice shall have no claim, whatsoever, as to any extension of training and / or employment in NHPC.
xi. NHPC shall not entertain any claims of injury/accident, theft and other natural calamity or any loss inflicted during the course of apprenticeship training.
xii. Management reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Apprentices will be notified of any changes via email or official communication channels. The decision of NHPC will be final and binding.
Preference in Selection
Based on merit criteria outlined in the advertisement, preference for selection of Apprentice will be given as under :
(i) First preference will be given to candidates belonging to Project Affected Families of respective Project/Power Station/Unit.
(ii) If sufficient or no candidates from Project Affected Families are available, then preference will be extended to candidates belonging to concerned district(s) of the State(s)/UTs where the Project/Power Station/Unit is located.
(iii) Should the vacancies persist, then preference will be given to candidates belonging to the State(s)/UTs where the Project/Power Station/Unit is located.
(iv) Should the vacancies still persist, then selection for remaining positions will be based on merit criteria specified in the advertisement for candidates belonging to other State(s)/UTs.
