Post : Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited for one post of Junior Research Fellow in a DBT funded project in the area of Molecular Biology and Biophysics.
Project title: "Biophysical characterization of adenylosuccinate lyase- a potential drug target from Leishmania donovani- a computational and molecular approach"
Principle investigator: Dr. Anju Pappachan
Project duration: 3 years (from the date of issue of sanction order of DBT dated 13/02/2017)
Funding agency: Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt, of India
Fellowship: Rs.25,000 + 10% HRA (for candidates who have qualified NET or equivalent eligibility exam as per DST guidelines) and Rs 12,000 + 10 % HRA for non-NET candidates.
Essential Qualification: Post graduation with minimum 55% marks in any discipline related to Life Sciences (Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy etc.). Candidates having cleared CSIR-NET/GATE/Equivalent national level eligibility tests will be preferred.
Desired: Candidates having experience in cloning, protein purification, molecular biology techniques and bioinformatics tools.

General Instructions:
1. The selected candidate will be appointed initially for a period of one year and extended further depending upon his/her satisfactory performance.
2. The engagement for the project is purely on temporary basis and is co-terminus with the project.
3. In addition to the regular work, the selected candidate will have to perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the PI related to the project.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. No other allowances are payable.
