Job Description
Job Summary
The Consultant, Product Portfolio Strategy is responsible for the process and systems from product screening/selection to approval and will intersect cross-functionally to monitor and evaluate the portfolio as individual projects proceed through the NPD development milestones.

The Consultant, Product Portfolio Strategy plays an integral role in the PST process. They are responsible for ensuring all opportunities identified as part of the portfolio strategy have the right visibility and alignment across the organization. Accountable for ensuring the right newly FDA approved products, First to File products, No Brand Reference products and new brand formulation products are escalated to PST at the right time.

Job Responsibilities
• Accountable for the quality, consistency, and accuracy of information pertaining to Pre-PST and PST processes.
• Responsible for ensuring all opportunities identified as part of the commercial strategy are “selected” and have the right visibility and alignment across the organization.
• Accountable for ensuring newly FDA approved products, First to File products, No Brand Reference products, new strengths of existing brand products and new brand formulation products are escalated to PST Executives at the right time. This includes special emphasis on NCE-1 opportunities and new products of a molecule already in our global pipeline.
• Accountable for implementing the PST cycle to plan (ensure all stakeholders adhere to planned timelines).
• Responsible for gathering relevant intel and collaborating with IP group to deliver high-quality information regarding Filing Strategy, Filing Dates, Launch Scenario and Forecasts for PST candidates, and to ensure this information is accurately entered into PST slide format.
• Responsible for actively monitoring and reporting (as needed) any competitive intelligence, news, market trends, etc. as they relate to products previously assessed by PST.
• Chair the quarterly Cross-Functional Pre-PST meetings, and record and distribute meeting minutes.
• Responsible for executing all Global “To Be Monitored”-related activities to ensure such products return to PST for further review at an appropriate time.
• Responsible for continuous improvement of Pre-PST and PST processes.
• Reponsible overseeing the prioritization models/scorecarding processes with support from other members of PPSO
• Attend Commercial time-to-market meetings (development to submission) and contribute content on behalf of PPSO
• Facilitate cross-funtional product/program/portfolio reviews and provide recommendations to the Director, PPSO.
• Work in partnership with the Manager, Analytics & Reporting to ensure a clear portfolio nomenclature strategy is developed and executed.
• Support the Director, PPSO in other activities as required.

Candidate Profile
• 5 years pharma experience (preferably in marketing or strategic management)
• Successful completion of University program in business, science or pharmacy
• Experience in leading cross functional teams
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, team player who is also results focused
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications with high-level skills in Excel and Access.
• Ability to quickly grasp internal computer systems
