The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world.
Eligible candidates are invited to appear for interviews for the following temporary posts on 30th August 2017 to be conducted at ICMR - NITM, Belagavi.
Under the project entitled “Evaluation of in-vivo Anti-Herpes activity of HM-7, an ethnomedicinal alkaloid to develop a topical anti-viral formulation” at ICMR - NITM, Belagavi.
PROJECT ASSISTANT : ONE POST
Essential Qualifications: Graduate in Science / relevant subjects from a recognized university with 3 years’ experience in nationalized laboratory or university with animal house facility and model development or Master’s degree in the relevant subject.
Desirable Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Science / Biological Science or M.Pharm /MBBS/ MD. Experience in handling animal’s model development and developing formulations.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates will be as per Govt, of India norms.
Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- per month fixed.
Under the project entitled “Role of Toll-like Receptor (TLR-2) in Herpes Simplex Virus infection” at ICMR - NITM, Belagavi.
PROJECT ASSISTANT : ONE POST
Essential Qualifications: Master’s degree in Biological / Medical Sciences
Desirable Qualification: Should have knowledge of virus and modem Biological/Immunological techniques. 06 to 12 months training in Molecular Biology / related laboratories will be an added advantage.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates will be as per Govt, of India norms.
Emoluments: Rs. 14000/- per month fixed
Under the project entitled “A multi-centric study to estimate the sero-prevalence of dengue virus infection in India”.
SCIENTIST B (NON-MEDICAL) - ONE POST FOR 4 MONTHS ONLY (SEP TO DEC 2017)
Essential Qualifications: MBBS/BDS/BAMS degree recognized by MCI with 2 years’ experience or 1st Class Degree in MD/MPH or 2nd Class Degree in MD/MPH with PhD.
Desirable Qualification: Master’s Degree in Public Health from a recognized University. Knowledge of Kannada language.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates will be as per Govt, of India norms.
Emoluments: Rs 48000/- per month fixed.
PROJECT ASSISTANT: ONE POST FOR 4 MONTHS ONLY (SEP TO DEC 2017)
Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or any other branch of science with three years’ experience in field work in health related work in a recognized institution OR Master’s Degree in Social Sciences/ Masters in Public Health.
Desirable Qualification: MSW or MPH with field experience. Knowledge of Kannada language.
Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates will be as per Govt, of India norms.
Emoluments: Rs 32000/- per month fixed.

Application and selection procedure:
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria are requested to fill their application form downloadable from ICMR-NITM website http://www.rmrcbg.res.in with his/her own handwriting and carry the same along with all original documents and a set of copies in support of age, qualification, experience, and category (if applicable) during the interview. Applications will be received between 8:30 A.M and 9.30 AM by hand on 30.08.2017 at ICMR-National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Nehru Nagar, Belagavi. The candidates are also required to submit a soft copy of the filled in application to director.nitm.bg@gmail.com by 28.08.2017 as prior information of attending interview. Candidates must report to the Centre on 30.08.2017 by 8.30 AM with all original documents in support of age, qualification, experience and category along with a set of self- attested photocopies and two recent passport size photographs. Interview will be conducted for the above said posts from 9.30 A.M onwards.
Terms & Conditions:
1. The post is to be filled up only on purely temporary basis.
2. Above said post will be stationed at respective places as mentioned in the above details.
3. Since the post is purely temporary, the incumbents selected will have no claim for regular appointments under ICMR/ DHR or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
4. Benefits of HRA, provident fund, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim etc. are not applicable.
5. Age relaxation is for SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates will be as per guidelines of competent authority. Age relaxation may be considered for deserving and highly qualified /experienced person on the recommendation of selection committee.
6. No TA/DA etc. will be given to attend the Interview or joining of post and candidate should make his / her own arrangement for stay for written test / interview and joining of post, if offered.
7. Qualification and experience should be from a reputed and recognized organization.
8. The decision of Director is final in all aspects of recruitment and will be a binding upon.
9. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
