Job Description
The candidate for this position will take the role of process development and scale-up for the viral vectors, viral vaccines and/or cell therapy processes within the Cell Technologies group in Spring House, PA.  The candidate’s primary responsibilities will include participating in the design of experiments, executing the planned experiments, and optimizing the process steps to the target process scale. The candidate will design and execute development studies to identify and determine ranges of critical process parameters for a cell therapy based product.  The candidate will record and analyze experimental data, verify data integrity and accuracy, and report/summarize findings to the project team, and also draft technical documents and perform technology transfer to collaboration partners.  The candidate is expected to work in a team environment as well as contributing individually to meet project timeline and objectives.

Candidate Profile
• A BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences or Biochemistry and approximately 0-2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Experience in the following areas is preferred:  cell culture process development, downstream processing steps, and analytical assays.
• The candidate must be highly organized and capable of managing/pursuing multiple projects with some supervision.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
• The successful candidate must maintain written records of work in the form of notebooks, technical reports and protocols.
• Data reporting, ability to present findings to management with a handle on the bigger picture, and experience with team-based collaborations is a must.
• This role requires occasional weekend work.
