Clinical courses

The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients.

The focus of reporting of adverse events is primarily on patients well being. The changes which have happened in the recent past about reporting of serious adverse events(SAEs) and compensation during trial related injury have been milestones in the history of Indian Regulations. Pharmacovigilance(PV) has taken a centre stage in patient well being efforts in last few years. The proposed Symposium (PV2014) would provide a platform for live discussion on newer trends in pharmacovigilance in Indian as well as International regulatory system. At this Symposium we aim to bring experts from the spectrum of back grounds for exchange of ideas and experiences and networking.
