Candidates are invited to appear before selection committee in the online-interview for filling up the purely temporary position of one Senior Research Fellow in the Institute under the supervision of Dr. Senjuti Sinharoy, Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR in the “Short-Term Research Fellowship” programme, NIPGR.
Post : Senior Research Fellow (one Post)
Emoluments : Rs. 42000/- plus HRA per month and as sanctioned in the project
Qualification : Candidates should have Master’s degree or an equivalent in any branch of Life Sciences / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology or any other related field with two years’ post- master’s degree, experience of research in the relevant areas and having CSIR-UGC NET/GATE/DST- INSPIRE and fulfilling the guidelines/norms of DST OM No: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated June 26, 2023 are eligible to apply. Furthermore, candidates with strong biochemistry skill and experience in plant- symbiotic interaction will be given preferences.
The above position is completely temporary and for maximum for one year. The initial appointment will be for one year and the same can be curtailed/extended based on assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.

The advertisement link will be active until 11:30 AM. Candidates who log in during this timeframe will be interviewed, provided they have already submitted the duly filled application form in the prescribed format to ssinharoy@nipgr.ac.in by December 22, 2025 at 9:30 AM. The duly filled application form, along with self-attested copies of the date of birth, educational qualifications, and experience certificates, must be emailed as a consolidated PDF. Any candidate sending an email after December 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM will not be considered for the online interview. Candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All candidates are requested to appear for the interview with complete bio-data in the given format and original degree/experience certificates and transcripts for verification.
