  • INCIDENCE AND PREVENTION OF POSTOPERATIVE ADHESIONS

    ABSTRACT
    Postoperative adhesions are a significant health problem with major implications on quality of life, health care and expenses on treatment. The purpose of this review was to investigate the incidence of post operative adhesions and the treatment measures such as efficacy of preventative techniques and adhesion barriers. The National Library of Medicine, Medline and A-Z databases were used to identify articles related to postoperative adhesions. Ileal pouch–anal anastomosis, open colectomy, and open gynecologic procedures are associated with the highest risk of adhesive small-bowel obstruction (class I evidence). Based on expert opinion (class III evidence) intraoperative preventative principles, such as meticulous haemostasis, avoiding excessive tissue dissection and ischemia, and reducing remaining surgical material such as powdered gloves have been published. Laparoscopic techniques, result in fewer adhesions than laparotomy techniques (class I evidence). Available bioabsorbable barriers, such as hyaluronic acid/carboxymethylcellulose, have been shown to reduce adhesions (class I evidence). Postoperative adhesions are a significant health problem after the surgery. General intraoperative preventative techniques, laparoscopic techniques, and the use of bioabsorbable mechanical barriers in the appropriate cases reduce the incidence and severity of peritoneal adhesions and post operative adhesions.

    ABSTRACT
    Butenolides (furanones) consist of unsaturated γ- lactone which occur in plants as glycosides. There is a group of steroids which contain α,β unsaturated butenolide ring in the side chain such steroids are known as cardenolides. The  presence of γ - lactone ring contain natural products like Goniobutenolides A & B ,Digitoxigenin and  lignans. These compound have biological properties like antibiotic, antitumor, anticonvulsant, antimicrobial and medicinal uses like fungicides, bactericides and allergic inhibitor.

    ABSTRACT :
    In this review article we discussed about are monospecific identical immune cells that are all clones of a unique parent cell. Monoclonal antibodies have monovalent affinity, in that they bind to the same epitope.Given almost any substance, it is possible to produce monoclonal antibodies that specifically bind to that substance; they can then serve to detect or purify that substance. This has become an important tool in biochemistry, molecular the non-proprietary drug name ends in mabs,in this we discussed type of monoclonal antibodies,preparation,targeting of monoclonal antibodies as well as advantages and disadvantages of monoclonal antibodies. antibodies that are biology and medicine.

    Abstract:
    In this general overview, we discussed about dentifrices, types of dentifrices, formulation, evaluation and its recent trends. There have been many dentifrices produced over the years, many focusing on marketing strategies to sell products, such as offering whitening capabilities. The most essential dentifrice recommended by dentists is toothpaste which is used in conjunction with a toothbrush to help remove food debris and dental plaque.

    ABSTRACT:-
    In this review article, we discussed about Bioavailability and bioequilance study, bioavailability means rate and extent to which active ingredients absorbed from a drug product and become available at site of action. This article provides the information about important aspect involved in bioequivalence and regulatory requirement for bioequivalence study. The rate or rapidity at which drug is absorbed is important consideration in treatment of acute conditions such as asthma attack in pain. Extent of absorption is of special significance in treatment of chronic conditions like hypertension, epilepsy. In this review we discussed all the factors affecting bioavailability from its dosage form, objective/purpose of bioavailability study, design and evaluation of bioequilance study, methods of assessing of bioavailability and bioequilance etc.

The widespread use of 1,3, 4 –oxadiazole as a scaffold in medicinal chemistry establishes this moiety as an important bioactive class of heterocyclic compounds.     ABSTRACT:
    In this review article, we discussed abouteffluent testing and treatment in pharmaceutical industry,Biological treatment of wastewater is frequently the most beneficial method for selecting various toxic compounds from the environment. Most of the organic compounds in industrial wastewaters are of natural origin and can be degraded by common bacteria in aerobic or anaerobic processes. The composition of these wastewaters is very variable. A great variety of organic chemicals can be determined among the principal components of these types of wastewaters. Antibiotics are the major group of pharmaceuticals. Among all the other pharmaceutical drugs and substances, antibiotics are important compounds due to its serious irreversible increase the release to the environment[1][2][3][4][5]

  • Pharmaceutical Process Validation: A CGMP Concept

    Abstract:-
    Validation is the most recognized and important parameter of GMPs. This article provide introduction about the process validation of pharmaceutical manufacturing process and its importance according to The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This work is to present an introduction and general overview on process validation of pharmaceutical manufacturing process. Quality cannot be ensured by sampling, testing, release of materials and products. Quality assurance techniques must be used to build the quality into the product at every step and not just tested for at the end. Process validation of a process will ensure production of drug of reproducible quality. In pharmaceutical industry, Process Validation performs this task to build the quality into the product because according to ISO 9000:2000, it had proven to be an important tool for quality management of pharmaceuticals.
