Job Description:
    * Lead and manage implementation of in vivo pharmacology models for cancer targets of interest, using translational and pharmacodynamic approaches to select lead drug candidates.
    * Identify and validate biomarkers in a preclinical setting and determine relationship to target modulation ad potential for clinical translation.
    * Identify potential mechanisms of resistance to targeted therapies using both in vitro and in vivo methodologies.
    * Elucidate optimal combination strategies based on the biology of a given target mechanism.
    * Work closely with biochemical pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, DMPK, molecular diagnostics, clinical, and regulatory functions to advance compounds through clinical development.
    * Work closely with colleagues in molecular diagnostics and cancer cell signaling to incorporate cellular and molecular features that may predict response when designing single agent and combination studies.
    * Collaborate with colleagues in DMPK to help predict human exposure through PK/PD modeling.
    * Responsible for design, execution, and defense of scientific experiments within a program.
    * Must contribute to IND filings, patents, and manuscripts.

Desired Profile:
    * Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in biology plus post-doctoral experience with 3-8 years of relevant experience in a research, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical lab.
    * In depth understanding of the signaling pathways that lead to cancer and an ability to translate data from in vitro assays to preclinical models.
    * Strong understanding of experimental design
    * Experience with in vivo cancer models relating to drug target validation, compound testing, or preclinical development.
    * Strong publication record with a proven track record of achievement.
    * Effective communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate scientific hypotheses, results, and conclusions.
    * Strong commitment to collaboration and working as part of a project team.
    * Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and develop a group of research associates.
