The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is an internationally acclaimed autonomous public research university and technical institute in Powai, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. IIT Bombay was founded in 1958. In 1961, the Parliament decreed IITs as Institutes of National Importance.

Post : Sr. Project Technical Assistant [SC-1, OBC NCL-1 UR-1]

Project title : Institute of Eminence (IOE Cell) project
About the project : Institute of Eminence Project (Chemistry Lab)

Essential Qualifications & Experience : M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Chemistry Candidate should have knowledge of instruments such as DTA, TGA, Spectrophotometers, TLC-MS and also have an ability to run laboratory courses for undergraduate students.

Job Profile :
Applicant would be responsible for assisting the users of Central Facility at Chemistry department. Should set up undergraduate laboratory experiments and should train teaching assistants for running experiments. Proficiency in computers, oral and written communication skills required

Pay Details : Level PR-A3: Salary range from Rs. 25200 to Rs. 50400 + Rs.5000/- Out of Campus Allowance (if applicable) p.m.


General information
The position is temporary for a period of 1 year and tenable only for the duration of the project. The appointment is for time bound project and the candidate is required to work mainly for the successful completion of the project. The selection committee may offer lower or higher designation and lower or higher salary depending upon the experience and performance of the candidate in the interview. Candidates called for interview will be required to attend at his/ her own expenses.
